My dad was a 60s kid and now I have all his original hot wheels cars in box and all his old slot cars and to have a slot car Dodge Charger sitting in his real Dodge Charger just sends feel good chills down my spine

Hi, Ive watched your videos since February and I wanted to thank you. Your writing and drawing videos really helped me through tough times. Who knew, right? It helped me get into a meditative state and forget about other things as I focused on the art of cursive that you were laying down on paper, one letter at a time. The writing sounds were the best part, along with your voice. You introduced me to the world of fountain pens and now I own a Pilot Metropolitan and a glass dip pen. Journaling helped me feel better too and I only started after I got the pilot metropolitan and I would always listen to your videos as I wrote. Thank you for sharing these therapeutic moments with us. I am happy to know that we are living in the same time. I hope your life is ultimately peaceful and comfortable and I hope you keep making videos for us! It would be a shame to lose connection with you even if it is only through your videos. That was wonderfully nostalgic and relaxing! This catalog must have been a young boy's dream back then. The USD 27.50 for the race track would be about USD 180 today according to a conversion website, so the prices came down a little bit.

Growing up in Indiana, usually you were either a basketball fan or race fan. I always fell under the heading of race fan since that's what our house watched and listened to. Had lots of "Scientifically Treated Petroleum" (STP) decals stuck to obscure places around our neighborhood. (As well as at the Indy 500. Go team Unser!) Built a lot of model cars as well. Thanks for the video.

I have slot cars also but they are aurora cars. 72 ford bronco & 2 cars just like the left bottom of the magazine cover, the red & yellow cars. They are complete.

honestly your videos are amazing for falling asleep to. I always love the rain in the background, and sometimes I wish I could find specifically that rain track you use. You definitely should make a video on your slot cars btw. And I believe its pronounced "decal" with a long "E" and a short "A". Never heard it pronounced that other way.

In the uk we say decal to rhyme with the first part of the word metallic. So de as in petal, cal as in calendar.

After your comment, I had to investigate the pronunciation of decal. Turns out that in the US and the UK, it's pronounced in the way you do, but the Canadians pronounce it duckal. Weird. And also...Duck.

A friend of mine brought his 11 year old boy to my house one day and I have a digital slot car set in the spare bedroom that takes up the entire room. Now understand that this kid has nearly every video game known to man and is hooked on video games. After over an hour of racing on my slot car track the boy turned to his Dad and proclaimed in a loud voice" Daddy, this is way better than video games!". What say you Oscar?
