I really like how your rock work turned out - both at the tunnel portals and along the stream bed. This isn't something I'll be doing on my current layout, but this gives me a good idea of what to do if I decide to build something that goes through mountains.

Bill my Check is in the Mail.. OM Double G that is spectacular I ever get to where I can build a Layout as good as what I see in front of my Eyes I hope I can Hire some Real Model Railroad Artist like yourself to Help me I'd try n' do that and it probably be a pile Goop.. I am so amazed at what talent alot of Model Railroaders have i guess i have some my Track i done up on my D.M.R.R.🛤 is straight where it needs to be and curved and it stay pretty well in place but in building up Structures I just didn't do much and living in Apt. I've kept it Simple so if me and folks could move there wouldn't be to much to tear down or take apart but if i ever get to a place where I know I've got the Room & some good ventilation and I know I won't be moving Soon.! I may have to call on ya to Give me Hand..

Fantastic work. I haven’t heard the term “plaster of paris” in a long time. How is it better for you than Sculptamold? Why not just use acrylic paint rather than stain? The ventilation would be a problem for me. What makes wood stain better than simple paint?
@modelrailroadadventureswit6347
@modelrailroadadventureswit6347 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Frank. I use both. Sculptamold as a base to give shape and then thick plaster that I can carve. I get better final look Off plaster and the sculptamold will be mostly under ground cover. For the stain ventilation is a must. I can open the garage doors when I work to keep the odor down. I would not do it inside unless I could open a lot of windows and have fans running

What do you do with the chunks that fall off? I use them for areas that have fallen rock . I do not use plaster, or skulptamold for scenery. Just carved foam
