Wow Dave, not only is that a brilliant running session but to get a tour in such detail is fantastic. I do like the station canopy, that roof looks fantastic when you see the locomotive emerge from underneath it's with anticipation. I also follow Tony north eastern, and when talking to him one of his saying is "it's all in the detail " and you've got detail in the bucket load. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to see around, I'm looking forward to seeing the other half. Stay safe in these difficult times Eddy xx

Fantastic, really good to be reminded of all your hard work putting this together over the years. Nice to have the chance to concentrate on each area and understand its development. And wonderful to have all the details listed by name and manufacturer, really helpful. The caravan site remains my favourite part of your layout. The illusion of a road running behind those trees works so well. I also love the disused siding, very authentic. The only part of your layout that I question is that the base of the trees on the new grassed gardens area seems a bit too lawn-like. Usually around bases of trees there are bare patches and some unevenness in the grass length and the terrain. However, I’ve not seen your reference photos, so maybe it does not apply in this case. Best wishes, Ed.

Liking the Dean Park Gardens. A realistic and well maintained Park, good job. Might I suggest a few people sat under trees, a train spotter, maybe joggers (all socially distancing of course) Reminds me of an area close to where I live near Heaton Park in Prestwich Manchester, where the Manchester to Bury line cuts through the park. I remember riding the British Rail Class 504 electric multiple unit into Manchester & Bury from Heaton Park for years. It ran on 1200 V DC third rail with side-contact current collection and was in service from 1959 to 1991. Really great layout Dave. Your layout always reminds me of the time in 1980 that I parked my MGBGT in Waverley Station and walked up to Princes street to buy my gf a birthday present from a jeweler there (can't remember which one) and afterwards going for a stroll in the gardens and looking down at the trains before carrying on to Aberdeen. I was new to Scotland at the time and I always remember how impressed I was at the way the gardens were maintained, they were perfect.

I started here about the time you was talking about having a proper track diagram made for you signal box interior. You had borrowed rolling stock for the shove duff at the time as well I believe. Certainly come on a loooong way. Of all the big layouts on KZbin this is my favourite, and I'm a NSE man! But everything is so well done. To me the test of a good layout is if you remove all the rolling stock you can still tell where it is supposed to be set. This is definitely Scottish through and through, I can almost smell the square sausage.
