Thanks for all the tips. Especially the brush cleaning technique. It's a lot faster, easier, and more convenient that the technique I am using which totally puts me off using it. Also mixing in the bowl is simpler than what I have been doing! Thanks for sharing all these tips!

Good morning. Thanks for your air brush tutorial 👍🏻 Can you do one on the air brush and compressor next please 🤣 My warship is still on the work bench lol 😂 as I’m saving up for an air brush. Watching your videos is starting to give me confidence to have a go very soon 😃 I work away from home a lot so don’t have a lot of time for modelling so your videos do help me. Thanks Stevie. My compressor is just a cheapo from Amazon a few years back. I’m about to replace it ( with another cheapo) so I’ll do a video soon I’ll put a link for the superglue in the description of this video a little later today

Yes. If it’s likely to be handled then a varnish will give it protection 👍🏼

Are you supposed to put a matt varnish on first before you do any weathering so that the paint you're putting on will stick to it then when you finish your weathering reapply a coat of matt varnish?

Great news! I'd suggest something like this: amzn.to/3jao4QJ I know its got an airbrush with it, but more importantly it has the air hose, so it works out cheaper than buying separately. But anything similar will do. Its the same as the one i use.

Thanks for the very helpful video. At what air pressure do you typically airbrush? If you're hand brushing more than very small detail, do you believe you need to thin Model Color? I have a Badger Patriot 105 airbrush with 0.5 needle. Should I expect to get much if any tip dry spraying either Model Air or Model Color? Do you ever use Vallejo retarder medium or flow improver, and if so, how much? Thanks again for your advice.

Hi, and thanks for the questions. For general work i'd normally set the airbrush to around 15psi. For detail work, i'll be as low as 5psi. I would thin Model Color for larger areas is brushung on. Maybe just 3 parts paint, 1 part thinner. I mainly get tip drying at low pressures, and i add just a single drop of flow improver. Hope that helps

I wanted to paint a 3D resin printed bust white. Can I just use the white primer, then cover it with the matte varnish after? Or should I actually paint a white onto the white primer, then varnish?

I prime all of my resin prints with car primer from a can now, and the result is good and consistent. I'd always recommend using primer first

Good vid about Vallejo paints. What psi do you normally set your compressor to for these?

For general use i'm at around 20psi. For finer close up work i'll drop down to around 10psi, and when im cleaning the airbrush i'll go up to around 30psi
