Thanks for stopping by and checking out the video! A cool new tool added to the shop to work on bases for my model kits. What tool or tools are you looking to add to your shop?

A good and thorough review. Not a bad tool, but it sounds like there are a lot of things that could honestly be improved. Thank you!

The sanding disc turns counterclockwise. I sand against the left side of the disc where the work piece is pushed down against the table rather than up and the dust is drawn down into where the vacuum is drawing air from the bottom left of the disk. Also, i tend to use the miter guage the other way. As for squaring up the table, use a square or other angle setting device. It's not a precision tool, but it removes material and it's very handy within it's range of applicability.

It will definitely serve my hobby purposes. But still on the lookout for a simular Rigid tool.

Ryobi is my preferred tool company. Great review. Do more of these if you can. Also it’s pronounced Ree-Obi not Rye Obi.

Rigid is definitely mine because they last forever. If I get more new tools I will do more. By the way here is an official RYEobi commercial ;) lol kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5jMeHShi52IisUsi=YXTEyjN1bgONyVdV

Actually you can get a perfect zero setting up the disc sanding table. Check with mini speed square against sanding disc… that way 45 degrees will automatically be accurate too

I'm a big Ridgid fan as well, I know some of their zero options are less than perfect, but some of these designs could definitely be improved. And the instructions booklet sounds like an afterthought, wow! Hope it at least gets the job done for you Kenny 👍🏻

Thanks brother! So far so good for hobby needs. As an everyday workhorse I wouldn't use it

Good video, but I wouldn't buy it from Ryobi. These are basically all made in the same factory in China and rebranded. Get the cheapest one and it won't be any different.

Thanks for stopping by. Ryobi definitely isn't my first or second choice. The unit I bought is really only good for the small hobby related items I will be doing. Any serious woodworking would need a much better machine than this one.

The zero mark on the disc table is zero degrees in relation to the sanding disc not a level indicator. So again, use square to touch table and disc simultaneously to achieve perfect zero. I only beat this dead horse because you keep commenting about how inaccurate it is and how displeased you are. Happy sanding

Thanks for the info as you see I am a noob at it and not using it for anything professional just sanding down small things for model bases.

Very generic and not powerful at all. Barely push on the belt and it slows down :( But good enough for my hobby use. Thank you for stopping by and commenting really appreciate it.
