Definitely one of the most under-rated channels on KZbin! The quality on your tutorials is on a different level.

The last time I had to do a curtain wall like this, I had to use beams and columns to model de tension rods because the possibility to use complex profiles as curtain wall frame elements was not yet available. I wonder if there is any way to change the default junction type with custom junctions.
@CONTRABIM4 жыл бұрын
Marian Sdraila Yes you definitely can create custom junctions! Biggest thing is to make sure you get the offsets right from center of panels. I’d be happy to demonstrate in another video soon

@@CONTRABIM maybe you can show us all the custom workflows. like custom handle,custom facade panel, junction etc.

Great work!.... I had a problem when I tried to slant a continuous curtain wall, it only works when it is just one segment!...what do you suggest I do to make a continuous curtain wall slant?
@CONTRABIM4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bemnet. If you know the general shape of the slanted curtainwalls, you could use a different input method. Try creating a morph as a reference to get the overall shape you want with the slanted faces and intersections, then use the boundary geometry method for each face, which will produce multiple curtainwalls but at least you can keep the slant and get the right look from it. You'll have to do a little work at the intersection frames but still totally possible. I hope this helps!

the only pitty things for working units, when I am trying to convert measurement I confused, I tried to convert inches and feet but not similar with your screen, actually it would be nice if you convert to decimal units cm or mm =))

Hi Burak. Yes it always takes me a little time to get warmed up on going from Imperial to Metric too! I always just try to remember 1in ~ 25mm, 1ft ~ 300mm, and then go from there!

two things I miss in archicad: temporary quotas, that is, automatic measurement of each structure; and multiple perspectives on a single screen that revit has. archicad should incorporate these features to be much more powerful. everyone asks for changes like that. and the part of mep and the calculations need to be enriched too. please, make archicad better

Totally agree the MEP calculation could be much improved. And tiling the views would be nice, but not a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the comment!
