Great refresher discussion about diode biasing. Model 4 covered more complexity than the others, and rather quickly.

Good point. I don't go into Shockley's equation for modeling diodes in much detail in my classes because rough calculations using just the forward voltage are generally good enough. I generaally leave Shockley for the simulation tools that need the precision
