Yknow, I'm surprised no one mentioned how map design played a key role in this. On wide open maps, SPAA is gonna suffer from lack of range, and they slow speed of missiles. On the close quarters maps, they can use their speed, stabilizers, and turret rotation to absolutely body the slower WW2 tanks.

Surprised nobody brought the 2S38. 220mm pen dart rounds would be capable of frontally penetrating most WW2 tanks and the APHE round would also be quite deadly. Would also like to Modern vs WW2 SPAA, although I am sure that it will be mostly Wirbelwind, Ostwind, and Kugelblitz on the WW2 side.

G'day, I'd say that the probable reasoning is they were going by in game classifications which do tend to fail in some regards as the 2S38 is indeed a SPAAG that can also perform the role of a LT. Similar could be said for duels with torpedo boats as I don't think I've seen anyone bring a Raubtier class (Type 1924), Elbing class (Type 1939), Chidori class or Uragan class (as designed also known as a Pr.2). For the first two are classed as destroyers in game, the third a gunboat & ironically a destroyer in the tutorial while the fourth a patrol ship (although time period wise it's correct). Anyway for this event I'm surprised nobody brought a Centurion as it was a 1944 tank design with the Mk.1 entering service one month after VE Day.

From what I understand is that some vehicles are classified and served in both SPAA and ground. These were only allowed in certain rounds to test them out.

Liked the video. But I domt the rules you set entirely.didn't think belenzpanzer or the Italian 60/80 as spaa, always thought they were light tanks with spaa capacity. Lavs are in the same boat as above. Was expecting sgt York's, falcons, 2s6's, adats, atomatics, gepards and anything thats primary role was by design air defence. The all-purpose platforms that do everything I tend to put into ifv territory generally.

the is-3 was produced during 1945, but had no battle record in 1945, it is still a WWII tank
