Really appreciate this, it must be a lot of hard work to put these Vids out. You basically enable me to learn the kind of music I like without relying on shitty tabs wasting my time learning something that’s wrong :) thanks again

You're welcome! Yeah they take a ton of time to make lol even just animating the chord changes takes a lot of time but hopefully they help people out a bit.

Patrick Teaches the World Well thanks again from England mate, really appreciate your hard work! Can I be cheeky and request you add a wonder years song to your list? I’d love to learn coffee eyes :)

Yeah I'll keep that in mind. I'm actually supposed to go see them pretty soon with Tigers Jaw (and someone else I can't think of at the moment).

Thanks for this video! I've been making a bunch of chord sheets for songs I want to learn (I find it's easier to retain something when I'm looking at a physical piece of paper rather than a website or video) and this video is a godsend! I've actually been spending more time making chord sheets than actually learning how to play the songs I'm making chord sheets for but oh well :p

Thanks for watching Nikki! I'm really glad they are helping :) I did one Citizen song a while back, can't remember the name right now...if you have a song from them that you think would be good I could add it to "the" list.

Idk what to do! My hands are too small to reach those big chords): I play piano and my fingers can spread pretty far but it’s different on guitar. I’m 16 years old, I don’t want to wait till I’m any older just for my hands to grow. Any tips?
@PatrickTeachestheWorld6 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela, don't worry you got this. Sometimes it could be the technique you are using, sometimes it might just be a finger dexterity thing. There are a lot of finger exercises that could help this but they are pretty hard for me to describe through text. Hmmm...there are also sometimes easier/different ways to voice certain chords that could help, and if nothing else you could use alternate tunings to shorten stretches if you know how to figure that out. I hope that helps a bit, also remember that I also teach on skype so if you ever want to try and trouble shoot a bit on there just let me know; there are links in the description to find out more about that :)
@angelal-60746 жыл бұрын
Patrick Teaches the World| I tried the finger stretching method yesterday and that seemed to help a bit, but I still felt I needed improvement. So I’ll definitely be trying out these tips thank you. I’ll also make sure to consider Skype lessons for the future if I feel I need extra help. Thank you so much!

how do u play the 9x99xx chord my fingers just dont fit
@PatrickTeachestheWorld4 жыл бұрын
Look closely at the fingering I am using (or experiment with your own). Sometimes I rotate my wrist slightly to help squeeze all of my fingers in there. Hard to explain through text but I hope it helps :)
