May I ask what the issue is with windows above the sink? I think it would make doing dishes a bit better to have so much of a view. Agree with you about the stools. They are beautiful, but less practical if using for longer periods of time. Back support is important, and personally I think it is more important than aesthetics.

Love the range and the windows. What a view! The stools look too small for such a large island and not very comfortable, but to each his own. The picture gallery is very pretty in the dining area and brings some much needed color. Once again, the view is incredible!

Two dishwashers are a must. Not bougie, just practical. We could not live without. Also, love that you did mostly drawers for lowers. Door cabinets are so inefficient.

Love the idea of mixing up the counter stools. I would also consider mixing up the copper pots/pans with wooden bowls or cutting boards as opposed to doing an entire set of copper pots and pans. Definitely easier on the wallet and potentially more interesting. I have really enjoyed your reveals and your design aesthetic. It is a beautiful home. Congratulations!

First off- the flooring, island & hood are INCREDIBLE! My opinion… the cabinet color melts into the floor and the texture will be impractical to clean, the end island stools scream African (I say be cohesive & quiet with all the same), unless you have a stove in your butler’s pantry you will be running back and forth to cook, there doesn’t seem to be enough lighting above the island, the trendy rounded dining table and hard chairs don’t work in your style of home (you should have a dining table made that somewhat mimics your island), and the white lighting looks cheap. With that said, I am a firm believer that you-do-you in your own home. If all your decisions make you comfortable & happy… that’s all that matters!

Heyya Molly and Ben! Caught this when you just dropped it! Saved me from cat box duty😅. Anyway, totally mix the stools! I thought at first that was your design plan. They are really cool together because they are completely different styles and add interest to the simplicity of the table. I did it with my table and have never gone back! If you don't use the more detailed stool, drop a round glass or marble top to it and make it a small table for plants, photos, candles, bowls, baskets, or whatever and use somewhere in your house. Love the two arch doorways. Would love to see grapevine arches above with hops or something. If not now, for the fall. Love the simplicity with great design ❤ details. So, glad you are back after some time off. I enjoy your style and had been checking in constantly to see if you reappeared and VOILA--you did😊!!! Bless you and your family in your new home. ❤❤❤

So, so pretty. I love the overall minimal feel of the kitchen and home, with beautiful architectural details which add interest, like the stone work, plaster hood, wall color and cabinet finish. I find it interesting that you don’t have a fridge in the main kitchen area. Definitely feels more European to have all the food storage (cold and dry) in the pantry. I wonder if that will become a new trend here in the US? It’s an idea I’ve debated, as it would move some traffic out of the main working space that gets crowded at times with family getting drinks and snacks. But I’ve been hesitant to move the fridge with so much emphasis on the kitchen triangle. What’s your thought on that?

I just thought I wanted to try something new and as I paid attention to how our family lives I thought hey I think this would really work for us- it’s actually so close to the sink and stove I should have shown that better. So far I’m really loving the set up! Will be sure to update that when I post the full home tour after the furnishing!

I love it all! Especially the island and all the drawers. I love the look of the stools together and the rug…but how do you keep them clean with kids!? 😅 Stools look great and minimal, but are not very comfortable. Also, where is the fridge? I tried copper pans, and they honestly are a nightmare every time you use them. I would say don't do it because they just don't stay nice and they never look brand new ever again. For high end cookware go with le creuset or staub, so easy to clean up and look pretty gorgeous sitting out tons of colors to choose from too. French Grey would probably look great in your kitchen. It is spendy but totally worth it. I've collected mine slowly over several years and don't regret it one bit. Your island is my favorite.

Do you find plaster range hoods are hard to clean? I LOVE the look of them and want to do one in my new build, but I've heard that they are awful to keep clean and I cook every day. Gorgeous details in the kitchen!

I have mirrored venetian plaster in my home and can’t wipe off dark fingerprints. In one section we just painted over it because stains couldn’t be removed. And it’s not even in my kitchen.
