I actually loved how Lily's character grew in the show. One episode of a date she had where both dads were chaperoning....and Cam was having his normal meltdown, her line to Mitch was something like "you better get your man under control". TOO funny.

Girls mature faster than boys :) by 3 years mentally too then boys catch up in their late teens.. which is why guys are usually taller than girls, because we start puberty earlier and end earlier, where as boy's puberty starts later and carries on for a bit longer

it is just emotional to see their journey until now and still seeing the show going strong. when I first watched this in eighth grade it was really the role model of a family I dreamed about. and I became so obsessed with it for so many more reasons. the WHOLE cast are all amzing, unique and brilliant people. the kids Sarah is really a fighter, Ariel is just like her character Alex mature,smart and independent, Rico is such a pure cutie, and not to mention the goofy on screen but a genius in real life Nolan. indeed great works come from a great team and I must say the key to modern family success is that they brought together a phenomenal cast. I feel like themselves acting on modern family is just having fun enjoying the chance to showcase a very close dorky and crazy side of them or what they fantasize. and it is this common ground of character that give them so much chemistry with each other. pls keep going strong:D I love you guys so so much. and this is more than just a thank. u literally saved my depressive highschool years and kept me always happy and funny. thk u all for the spirit you bring:)

The show was far enough along when this was done that they could have easily found an interviewer who knows that it was Alex, not Haley, who would be giving a valedictorian speech. And it would have helped, too, to have someone who could move it along better, such as asking "anyone else have a guest in mind? No? Next question!' without Jesse having to tell them to get the mic to the next person ahead of time so there wouldn't be awkward silences.
