This is one of my favorite sets in years, but imo the Masters series pricing is ridiculous. It shouldn't be any more than a regular box. It's not like there's a foil in every pack or anything. Even that doesn't justify the price of Masters packs.

I went to my game store, bought two packs of modern horizons, went to my moms car, and opened the two packs. First pack was a foil WRENN and six, and the second was a non foil WRENN and six. I sold em both back to them. I was screaming.

I give that box a 8.5-9.0 box hit both of the premier rares and an Urza. For a 10 someone would need 3-5 dual lands urza and wrenn and six vista plus negation then some of The higher mytchis and rares. Easy!!!!

If you want the premium cards, just wait for price to drop down even more, which they guaranteed will, then buy the rare and mythic separately. It'll would be a lot more cost efficient, minus the shitty feeling if you don't open a good box.

I think you underestimate just how terrible playtesting is at Wizards. You can look up the sample decks they used to test. For example, for both Innistrad blocks somebody was convinced that Werewolves were going to be the big meta deck. That's how bad the people testing balance and deck interaction are at Magic.

I really like that idea about more people doing mass box opening or in my opinion of words people that CAN do massive box openings. I believe that idea would work for local LGS’s they’re gonna open a case full or two anyways it’d be a great idea to share the process. Although the value is not great on the set anymore, I really do enjoy this opennings, the set has a great feel! I do prefer it to the collectors' boxes, but i'm expectant for the regular Throne boxes which are very cool! I did one openning with 6 regular mythics (one of them Oko borderless), 1 foil mythic and 2 foil rares. Quite a funny little set!

That takes a while to do. You have to search every card, then edit it in. What at least I like about Rudy is that we get pack openings constantly. This would slow down everything. He's a busy guy you know, with a store to run.

It's deliberate, they're pushing magic power level from now on and they expect to be banning new cards all the time from now on. Oko and similar aren't accidents, they're the new normal. Wizards worked out that powerful cards boost both their sales and the second hand market.

I just saved $700 leaving Davis to have my 120K mile routine maintance done in Sacramento... a big lender to the car dealers, in our area, went Bankrupt... so I guess the Toyota Dealer in town decided it's chill for them to charge $900 for labor; I of course am the insane guy who complained and then canceled my maintance and got service in sac...("sir, you are the only person to complain about the price of this service, the 120K mile service is the most important and we are a private business and we charge everyone $1,380, before tax for routine 120K mile service")the sac place had a starbucks thing where everything was free... it was nuts; m&m with nuts... looks like some of these loans are being called in out here in Cali... 2021 recession, you think? We had mass suicides at NYU around 3-4 years from the 2008 ponzi scheme crack down, so... probably just 2024; last possible moment right? All the loans from 2008 are margin called then? Anyways, what reserved list card do I buy with this $700?

They really sabotaged MH with Pioneer. I’m still a big fan of the MH, but any excitement that it still held got squashed with Pioneer. The longevity of MH and Modern in general all depends on how the two formats coexist. If Pioneer sees long term support and excitement, then MH may stay lower valued than expected. EDH is going to be what carries MH for now.
