Yay!! I'm so glad you're back! My hair guru! I know you've said in other videos how flat irons aren't good to maintain healthy hair. Do you feel like "hot brushes" or "straightening brushes" are also bad for your hair?

I have always recommended to blow dry your hair straight! I have a revlon blow dry brush review video you should check out! :)

I haven’t tried that one but for long thick hair you definitely need a professional one! I would recommend Babyliss or T3 or Bioionic or hot tools

I have short hair and been trying to find a video on how to curl hair just like this video! I’m having trouble curling it and end up creating a curl that isn’t curly enough of leaving a clamped section of that makes sense. When curling your hair, do you ever let go of the clasp of the iron or do you keep your finger slightly pressed on while you’re curling your hair? Thanks!
@JessHallock2 жыл бұрын
Yes! I always keep my thumb on the clamp to keep it slightly open so I can keep moving through the section to keep the clamp marks from happening! And having an iron that is coated helps a ton with clamp marks! I love the one I use in this video !

Also, with you not loving hair straighteners, how are curling irons different? Also, heat protectant sprays?! Thank you! You're my fav and just so many questions?! 😩😖😵
@JessHallock4 жыл бұрын
Curling iron only has one side that heat comes from and straighteners have two plates where heat comes from causing more damage.
@alinatherese11154 жыл бұрын
SO SIMPLE!?! MAKES SENSE, THANK YOU

Is this curling iron the clip/clipless one or regular? If there’s even a difference haha? On amazon it shows both
@JessHallock4 жыл бұрын
The curling has a clamp! :)
@buddyholly46724 жыл бұрын
She has another one where she reviews the irons. From what i can deduce it looks like the one with a removable clip (it also has a turbo button).

I have very fine hair is it ok to spray it with texture spray and then use heat should I not use a heat protect too thanks

I would use a heat protectant first then after styling your hair use the Texturiza! :)

What are your general thoughts on sulfates/silicones? Silicones=plastic=burn=heat?!
@JessHallock4 жыл бұрын
I always try to avoid them in all products that I use, they coat your hair and clog your cuticles.

Thank you!!!!

Do you use a heat protectant spray?
@JessHallock3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrea! I do use a heat protectant! The Unite Texturiza Spray is actually a thermal/UV protect! I also use other products that are also heat protectants before I blow dry (while my hair is still wet), some of my favorites are the Unite 7Seconds Detangler Spray and Unite 7Seconds Blowout Creme! I just dont get it. I see the same type of curling style everywhere even on TV and what pops out to me is that it looks so unfinished the ends are not touched and they are always flat. Why does anyone think this is flattering . Plus every person , men especially just shrug their shoulders and hope it changes quickly like everyother failed fad style. Used to say it's "just my opinion" but I know I'm not alone in this cause everyone I ask says the same thing.
@vanessalawson40452 жыл бұрын
That’s the whole point of curling like this, it’s an unfinished look. When you curl the ends too, all the volume is at the bottom of the hair and the top is flat. Some would say that’s unflattering as well. To each their own. Curl your hair the way you like. Who cares what men think??😂
@FacelessMachine Жыл бұрын
I know it's a year later but just saw this video now, along with your amusingly annoyed comment. Such unreasonable irritation over a hairstyle 😂😂😂😂
