I am glad to see this trapping series. I love all your videos. Remember to show or tell the viewers to set the earth anchor. I didn't notice that in the video. Keep up the good work!

Dave, I’ve been away from the pc a couple of days and you’ve posted lots of stuff here. Some good, and some I question. I had the privilege of spending a few days with a couple of government trappers. If they spent more than 5 minutes making a set, they were wasting time. They could put a lot of traps in the ground in a day, and they sure could catch coyotes.

Are you going to add some DIY traps to this series? What I mean by DIY is trapping without premade traps, using what the woods provide and maybe some rope/cord. I know you have videos on primitive trapping but I was wondering if you were going to add them to this.

I got to tell you I found your channel by chance and I'm now addicted to it. My father always talked about trapping when he was a kid in Ohio, but he never once taught me a thing about it. After watching the first few trapping vids I see how similar it is to counter IED operations except your just on the other end of it. I feel like I already know so much about it but never knew it would apply to this. Thank you so much for sharing all this info. From one paratrooper to another it means a lot.

Also i absolutely love this trapping series(keep em coming!) , love your channel and all the work, effort and dedication you have to your viewers. Keep up the good work brother.

Great videos, thanks for the taking the time to make them. I know many trappers that will die before giving up any tips when it comes to trapping so Im very appreciative for all your videos, I take what I need to know and leave the rest. We all have opinions and when it comes to trapping MAN there are so many diff ways people do things... Props for taking the time and helping others learn the way YOU trap and do things. Very enjoyable videos!

i know this has nothing to do with the video above but for rabbit trapping could you just dig a hole on a run get two sticks and some netting put it over the hole and tie the netting to the sticks and make sure the sticks are bigger than the hole so its make a hammock sort of shape when the rabbit falls into it ?

Well in one video he stuck his hand into the trap and said it just stung a little so no real damage to a human, and 2nd he lives on private property so no humans are suppose to be there, and for a human to get to his traps they would have to hike 6miles onto the property.

How many of the traps do you usually setup, 10-20 traps? How large of an area ate you spreading these out over. How far appart should the be from one another? How long does the scent last? A few days.....longer?

Awesome vid, Dave! By the way, I don't mean to be a grammar-nazi, but I think in your title "Sent" is supposed "Set". Either that or "Scent" (referring to the urine?). Just thought I'd let you know.
