a note about the conduit running the sensor wire for the floor warming. Does the inspector not mind that cable entering the electrical box? because it is low voltage (some codes say low voltage should not be in the same box as 120v), I see some people running the conduit to the outside of the bottom right corner of the electrical box.

It’s so weird seeing a wooden floor/sub floor in a bathroom. Here in Australia, every “wet floor” has to be concrete. My 1972 brick house is built on 2 foot brick pillars has a crawl space under the beams and wooden floorboards, but the laundry room and bathroom have a concrete slab on top on the brick pillars, which form the floor of each room.

Your videos make it look so easy, yet it hasn't worked out as effortlessly for me in the past. Anyway, what's the total height of your flooring build-up? We have our plans for an addition and I'd like the bedroom hardwood floor to transition flush into the bathroom tile. With 3/4 flooring, will the tile be higher?
@WorkinwithWolkon2 жыл бұрын
Most large format tile is around 3/8 thick. Ditra is 1/8 thick. Then another 1/8-1/4 worth of thinset. So typically ends at around 3/4 or maybe slightly less. The hardwood floors in this house were 3/4 and my tile ended up within 1/16 of them

Just fixtures? Absolutely not. If someone were to completely demo a bathroom as well as dispose of the material however I’d probably take $800 or so off. But that would be assuming they get it to a clean slate which I doubt that they would (eg is the subfloor completely clean of existing thinset and staples, studs free of old screws, etc)
