So many people just walk by without stopping and enjoying this awesome free show. I would grab a cold beer and sit on that bench next to him. Them I would leave a big fat tip.

Thanks to all who have been kind to this video. It was filmed five years ago by my good friend Cliff Hall. I had been playing footdrums for only two months and was greatly enjoying this new career direction. I had no idea what I was doing, drum-wise, and was making it all up as I went along. The kickdrum was more "whap" than "thump," which is not ideal, but I owe Pete Farmer of Farmer Foot Drums huge thanks for helping give me the beat. Thanks, Pete!

@wimharp: You mean: What drives a street musician to become a university professor? Great question! I decided that it wasn't enough just to play music for the people; I needed to honor my inner pedant.

I began playing Harp the day after Christmas (26th December) and I understand how skilled this guy is. When the Harp is played well it has a feeling words can't express as you feel it more than hear it. People like Mississippi Fred McDowell, Son House, Charley Patton etc go beyond words and this guy has it also.

The daddy of all harp players.this man is unbelievable, and for sharing his free advice videos- a legend and a gentleman. Adam plays like we all aspire to one day, but sadly, the reality is- we won't. Why?? Cos no one plays the "devils music" on the harp like Mr Gussow. Thankyou for sharing Adam

@barkingchihuahua: Yes, I had a 50 year old student in a beginning class many years ago, and he became obsessed with the instrument. He practiced hours a day. Within two years, he was working regularly with TWO blues bands in New York City. You should take a look at my website, Modern Blues Harmonica (dot) com. Lots of lessons there. Also, on my personal appearances page, a list of gigs. Chicago, New York, Copenhagen, Kansas.....and Mississippi, of course.

Approval. Just listened to the Crossroads video. Inspiring. I found my way to your website, Blues Harmonica, went through the lists, listened to the 20s and 30s and liked Alfred Lewis, Lee Brown, Jaybird Coleman, and Robert Hill. Thought of Cream-ing them or Led-ding and what it would sound like. Now back to your site.
