Sure am glad I live down south. No rust on my frame and real clean under the truck.

115,000 KM's on my 2018 F350 Dually , it would randomly blow white smoke when I put the pedal to the metal and would burn off the extra oil and then stop smoking. I got fed up with the dealership charging me $1,000 to fix sensors and other crap that the engine was throwing codes on. My CCV box had the serviceable filter in it, when I removed it to do the reroute kit the filter was full of nasty black oil that spilled everywhere. Very easy and clean install of the reroute kit ( mine didn't have an internal cheese grater), I ended up routing it into my frame so if any oil does leak out it will help with rust build up. Eventually I will extend my hose to the back of the truck so that any smell is out the back of the truck not under the truck.

Can you please cut the CCV open to show us how 100k looks on these filters?

I personally have found kind of a loss of throttle responsiveness since doing my reroute. I used the dirty diesel brand kit with no catchcan and it sprays oil droplets all over the side of my truck and side step.

So where the engine gets capped off where old lefty lossey goes in would it be possible to reroute lefty loosey with an extension and be done? Wouldn’t that literally solve the problem and eliminate the circuit?
@tommybragalone794317 күн бұрын
No because the fumes would still be routed through the box. Those ccv boxes are garbage

Can you or someone that knows more than me about diesels please help me figure out why my '16 F250 6.7 makes the same exact clacking noise at idle like Corey's does? Ive heard that the ccv reroute adds even more pressure. It's said that the turbo causes a vacuum for the ccv to extract the gasses from the bottom of the engine. would "rerouting" the ccv do more damage than just replacing the cc filter of the entire ccv itself??
@NCMillwrightАй бұрын
A lot of people will reroute ccv to rear of exhaust to pull correct vacuum and prevent blow back

The SPE instructions cover this topic in detail. Cut the flex hose just past the "lefty loosey" connection. Put that cap on that tail end. Install the "lefty loosey" back onto the intake manifold and plug the sensor wire in. The system will then "see" the CCV filter as being properly plugged in.

They changed the ccv box on the 22 and removed the filter. They still make the kits. The 22 is less likely to blow out like the older ones because that was the filter expanding because of the oil but you are still dealing with the oil going through the turbo.
