I think he should prove himself in the bundesliga with 1 or 2 teams before jumping to premier league football when all he coached so far is just promotion/relegation leagues. No matter how good of a coach he is bcs he has many good tactics, but the tactical shift and lack of experience will bite his ass. with Saint Pauli people would expect him to just not get relegated, and even that is a huge task for an inexperienced coach and something coaches like Klopp or Nagelsmann had to face (klopp 3 times, got relegated once, Nagelsmann once in 2015/2016) before jumping to bigger teams. This is a decision that could change his career and if it doesnt go steadily it will need quite a few turns and such to reach first level football.

Yeah I agree it’s a massive jump especially this window I can’t remember so many newly promoted managers in different leagues being in such high demand across europe

brighton got him a work permit visa, he also agreed personal terms, st.pauli is the only barrier left
