I love this! We are purchasing a bigger pool next week and would love to build this on my own without much help from my husband. If you don’t mind answering a few questions for me? First off, did you dig holes for the fence posts? Can you please tell me the color of the stain you used? What are the trim pieces, metal? Where did you purchase those. And lastly, can you please explain how you accomplished the top pieces? That sit flat around the top of the pool. Like how you connected those to be sturdy. Thanks so much! Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Do you have kids that play in it? This looks like an awesome upgrade, but i would be concerned about getting in/out. Milled/flat wood is slippery when wet. Do you have some sort of non-skid where you get in/out?
@The_Heights Жыл бұрын
There is a ladder on the inside of the actual pool that you can walk up and get out very easily, and on the backside of the pool now there are two steps to get up and get in the pool, not shown in this video aside from that, the wood has held up very well… It was sanded thoroughly, but in general, which would you do need to be cautious overtime to maintain it

I love this look! I live in the south and would be concerned about wasp building their nest in the space between the pool walls and the wood. Is this something you have had an issue with?
@The_Heights Жыл бұрын
No, I’m in Florida and have had no issues
@tb54321 Жыл бұрын
I was also wondering about wasps because it’s a huge issue here in Michigan - especially carpenter bees. I guess since this is Florida they don’t take their pool down in the fall? I don’t think we could do this frame in Michigan because we have to put the pool up in the summer and take it down in the fall. The frame would be a hot mess to work around. Was there a spot for draining the pool? I must ave missed that. The frame looks nice but it doesn’t seem very functional when I think about all these details that wouldn’t work for our setup.
@The_Heights Жыл бұрын
@@tb54321 yeah, here in Florida we don’t really have that issue and in the winter time we don’t need to take the pool down or empty it it can be up year-round
@kenthompson3730 Жыл бұрын
@@The_Heightsbut it seems like there could be a need to drain in the future. Like to repair a leak or replace the liner. Might be a good idea to have access to a drain. Though I guess you could just drain it through the pump inlet/outlet (whatever is lowest). Or, if there is another drain, you would know where that is and could just remove a board to access it.
@The_Heights Жыл бұрын
@@kenthompson3730 after we built this, I added a small latch style door at the bottom of one of the sides where the actual drain for the pool is so I can open it and Simply hook up a hose and drain everything 👍🏼

This looks great, and I’m considering something like this, since I have the same pool. My question is, since these pools aren’t meant to be permanent, what happens when you need to replace it? It can’t be easy to install one within the frame.
@The_Heights7 ай бұрын
Everything is screwed together, so it’s pretty easy to just take one of the Long sides down to get in and out if you were to replace the pool I am on 3 years and the pool is still just fine no issues.

Your design is absolutely perfect and I love it. We have a very similar pool style about same dimensions and you gave me my next project to tackle for next summer. How is your winter over there, does it affect your components and liner ?
