Modernizing the Eagle Industries RRV Chest Rig

As the legacy of the Type 56 Chicom lives on, this chest rig is and will be relevant to tactical gear for a long time. The road went from the Type 56 Chicom to the Pattern 83 Chest Rig to the RRV. If you look closer the Helikon Guardian Chest Rig, the ONWARD RESEARCH Recce Rig, the old Osprey/Arktis chest rig, the SSO Lazutchik and many more share the same basic principle: 3 or 4 mag pouches up front and a couple of GP pouches on the sides. What makes the RRV still different is its molle capability which allows you to add or remove anything and everything you have on it. I like what you did on yours! Respect from Argentina.

I run the Platatac Peacekeeper Mk5 as my main woods rig. Highly recommend. I put a SORD front dump pouch at the bottom, and run my pistol holster on the spare 2 column molle and pistol mags on the other side. Complete system that lets me ditch a gun belt with holster, pistol mags and dump pouch, and instead lets me wear a ruck comfortably.

RRV is classic. Used the AAFES special UCP version for a bit over an IBA. Bulky setup, though.

thats cool, so glad i found this cause i also have an rrv and a 3 cell kiwi, and was figuring how id get it to adapt.

The H-Strap makes this so much more comfortable. Not sure if you have one or prefer the X setup. A lot of people don't know when they buy RRV's is that the H-Strap is hidden in the front pocket of the RRV
