Home Theatre Projector Complete Guide in Malayalam 4K

One should select a home theatre projector very carefully.
Many low-end projectors have poor contrast ratio and resolution. Even more importantly, color gamut coverage is very important. One should look for at least 100% REC 709 coverage, if not more.
HDR performance of projectors is generally inferior to TVs.
That said, choosing the right projector for your application will give you an incredible movie and gaming experience.

Projector - If you can have decent darkness in the class room. You will need a business projector with high brightness. You have to setup such that the area of projection is dark enough. Projector will give you a larger image. This improves reading experience of students if it’s a large class room. If you can’t manage light in the room or if this is a small class room, go for a large TV.

Can’t recommend ViewSonic M2 due to an unpublished REC 709 coverage and ANSI lumens. This means this projector is made for less serious buyers who are looking for a small form factor projector. In that budget BenQ HT2050A will be a much better buy because it’s brighter and have a better colour accuracy with 96% Rec 709 coverage. Hope this helps.

"The thing mentioned about ANSI lumen is not true. Having a high ANSI lumen is not necessarily needed if you plan to view movies in a dark room. For example, in a really dark room, 300 ANSI lumens would work perfectly. For a moderately lit room, consider 600 to 1000 ANSI lumens. In a bright room or outdoors, you should consider something above 1000 ANSI lumens. Therefore, there is no need to spend a lot of money on projectors with high ANSI lumens if you plan to view in a dark room."

You are settling for a poor vorweine experience. In a slightly lit room, 600 ANSI lumens will give you a just mediocre image that is barely watchable. In a dark room, you will need more ANSI lumens if you need a bigger projection. Are you talking about 50 inch projection here ?

@@ModernMallus my point is, For those who can't spend a lot of money, it is still possible to get a decent viewing experience in a dark room without surpassing 1000 ANSI lumens. I use the" Philips Neopix Ultra 2TV" 1080p projector in my bedroom, on a 100" screen, and it cost me $400. The image quality is quite excellent, with vivid and sharp visuals. It works especially well in a dark room.

I think most of the branded projectors has ANSI Lumens more than 1500 and the contrast ratio is above 10000:1, Even If it's SVGA in branded. Then I had read all the comments and replies, Here I noticed that the mostly mentioned projectors where not branded. If it's not a branded one, where can we get the service, For example the MI projectors itself has no service centers in Kerala. From my knowledge the REC709 and DCI-P3 this all where in few models and brands. In Sony DCI-P3 is only for the models above 6 lakhs. The other thing the contrast ratio you mentioned in one Sony projector is about a commercial based projector. In commercial projectors the ANSI lumens is above 6000. As the ANSI Lumens increases the Contrast Ratio will decreases or else it should be a lazer projector. The brand BARCO one of the top brand and the top model is SP4K-40 it has a contrast ratio of only 2000:1 and the lumens is 40000 ANSI Lumens At the same time the SONY VPL-VW590ES has a dynamic contrast ratio of 350000:1 with the lumens on 1800ANSI. The 95% of projectors in branded doesn't have auto focus option. Most of the thinks you told to check on a Projector where correct, but the explanations and comparisons where about Chinese and unbranded products. In Kerala the branded projectors available with service centers are: Sony, Optoma, Benq, Epson, Viewsonic, Vivitek, Maxell, LG & Panasonic.

Most of your research is in the right direction. Except for few things. 1. We aren’t talking about dynamic contrast ratio and other inflated stuff. We are talking about static contrast ratio. (Read more about this). 590 ES can manage close to 15000:1 static contrast ratio. That is super impressive. 2. Supporting a gamut (like a language) and offering n% coverage fo a gamut is different thing. Almost all projectors supports REC709. You don’t have to spend 6L. 3. These explanations holds true for every branded projector. See my other video on projector technologies (compared ) to know more. 4. It’s natural that lamp based budget projectors from most brands may produce 1500+ ANSI lumens. Many people in Kerala and I cannot afford a 10L Rs projector. Here we don’t think of it as a bad thing. In fact next review I am doing is of an extreme low budget projector. This channel isn’t just for the wealthy. Thanks for watching and writing in👍
