Please change the Scent!! It smells like my sisters make up kit / face powder 🙄 other than that its a game changer for my thick wavy asian hair which was difficult to tame and control!! It really has the extreme hold as it says on the label and 2 days endurance ! Finally found the right product, thanks @TheSalonGuy but please change the scent

In terms of finish, versatility between pre/post style usage, and look in the jar, it looks and behaves very similar to Oasis from Templeton. I took a look at the ingredients lists which have some notable similarities but are of course in many ways different as well.
@MMTV5 жыл бұрын
Less dry for sure. That’s why I didn’t go down that road. I filmed a portion where I talked about that and things like anti gravity but I found myself saying “BUT” the entire time, like compared to oasis it’s creamy BUT it’s different because of this, this, this, and I just thought to myself, what a waste of time lol

Hey there Mike! I am actually confused between Arcadian matte paste and Crafted matte paste. Which one would be better?
@MMTV3 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Good question! The difference between the 2 might seem similar so I can definitely see why you’d be confused, but the results and attributes is where the differences will lie. I’m gonna have to review my notes and results with both of these as I’ve probably tried 40 matte pastes since trying both of those but generally the results lie within the actual hold (vs reported hold) and various other attributes like finish, texture, volume, endurance etc. I hope that helps at least a little.
@spongboy73303 жыл бұрын
@@MMTV indeed they are quite similar. Of course Crafted has a better hold but what do you think which one is more pliable and adds better volume? Thanks for the feedback!

Hey man! My experience with their shipping has always been a good one, It’s always been just a couple days- a week max from site to mailbox. I’m also in Nebraska and they are in New Jersey I believe so that can vary the ship time but it’s still been fairly quick.

Me: wow three different demo tests! Now I’ve seen it all! Damp hair-stylers: it’s been a month, still waiting for the fourth demo test
@MMTV5 жыл бұрын
I dont usually demo damp hair in videos unless its a damp hair product (Gel Type pomades, Oil based Pomades) or unless I find that it works well enough in damp hair to demo in damp hair. I dont generally style in damp hair, I dont like hardening for 1 and I especially dont like styling clays and matte pastes in damp hair because added moisture inhibits clays and stops them from really achieving their full potential.
@zacharywan20045 жыл бұрын

Hey Mike I know you get annoyed when people say, “ Hey Mike you thought of growing out your sides?”, but I have a middle ground suggestion. At 6:51 I saw how short your sides are. If you wait I’d say a full 6 weeks especially with how healthy your hair regimen is I think your next haircut would look awesome! Your upper sides could grow in more and it be a nice reset. I use to get my haircut twice every two weeks, maybe a little less and I chose to wait while I was on a break. It sucks a bit during but it feels nice after. It’s not like half a year. Only 6-8 weeks.
@howl53515 жыл бұрын
*once every two weeks
@MMTV5 жыл бұрын
Hey man! It’s not about the grow in time, I could grow out my sides fairly easily and quickly- it’s about what they do when they grow out that keeps me from doing it. They curl and grow out the side instead of growing down so it doesn’t end up being quite like I’m sure your picturing it. It wouldn’t be a situation where I could slick them down and back they would begin to grow sideways right away and then when long enough they would begin to flip and curl.
@howl53515 жыл бұрын
Modern Man TV I gotchu Mike! Man I’ve tried to grow out my hair and it simply isn’t for me. After two months the structure of what I want begins to come undone and it more or less looks like an afro which I don’t think is flattering for me. Growing is about patience but in the past I’m telling you I got haircuts every 10 days and if that’s you that’s you but I was wanting to get haircuts that were less extreme. So now I do 4-6 weeks. But I don’t run a YT channel or live a lifestyle where I feel like I always need to look “on point”. It’s tougher when you do things that have people look at ya. Hey Mike I bought the Void, Polar, and Equinox from Flagship and out of your entire line I want to try the pomade so I’ll buy that and get your full line eventually! Keep being great 😇
@MMTV5 жыл бұрын
I can dig it. I get my haircut twice a month and I sometimes get the urge to find something different but I’m quickly reminded that my hair doesn’t cooperate haha! And I’d love for you to try my pomade and I thank you in advance!
@earlbinvico5 жыл бұрын
@@MMTV which one's your pomade? I'm looking for a high hold pomade that doesn't deflate within some hours. I've been using Blumaan's, and it has not been working well recently with humidity. My hair becomes wavy and destroys the whole structure, turning my pomp into a weird attempt of a slickback. I remember back in the day, it would perform greatly. American Crew Grooming Cream is too weak. I'm trying By Vilain's Powermade + Silver Fox soon. So, if that doesn't work, what's the best unorthodox water-based you know? Thanks!
