Looks amazing, just a quick question. I’ve noticed they’re using metal when mixing the bentonite, are they using a special type of bowl to prevent it from becoming positively charged? Thank you, love the vids

How do you recommend you apply this product? Apply while wet? Apply while dry? Do you NEED to blowdry? Unless I want a lot of volume I typically apply my product (Lockhart's Matte Clay) while dry and go. I have fine hair, so I'm definitely thinking this paste could be an upgrade to the clay if it really does plump up the hair and I can easily restyle it... Very interested in getting my hands on it.

Interesting measuring out the liquids by eyeballing without using a pipet or a graduated cylinder. Steve must have made tens of thousands batches to build that skill and confidence. Truly a cowboy chemist.

theopeningset I don’t think they should really need to put a disclaimer on there I mean it’s a family owned business that is producing crazy amounts of products, not to mention 500 jars that were ordered with tons of them needing address changes, additions, then packaging and labeling all while keeping up with wholesale accounts and other business. The shipping wasn’t that long when you take all of that into account.

Does this have heat protection? So it can be used for blow drying during pre styling?

THEREALSINNER247 yep check the video steve discusses what ingredient provides heat protectant although to be totally honest with you there really is no need to worry about heat protectant. I discussed this in another recent video, using a blow dryer won’t harm your hair, but to answer the question yes it will work as a pre styler.

I have Nevermore matte paste and love it!! BUT, one reason I am not getting Anti-gravity yet, is because the ingredients are virtually the same. What makes this different from Nevermore?

David Garay the ingredients on 2 products can be exactly the same and be totally different. It’s all about the formula and the ratios of each ingredient used within the formula. Anti gravity is more dry than nevermore and it contains silica to plump the hair, that nevermore does not contain. It also contains a higher ratio of waxes than nevermore and if you used it you would see that. Going off ingredients usually doesn’t tell you anything but if you enjoy nevermore it will soon become a full time line item anyway.

Gnome Beard this was dryer in the hair and had the silica added to plump the hair. And we don’t have firm plans to re release as of this moment but I will update if that changes

its found in cosmetics, but fairly new to the homebrewed scene. it is supposed to make your hair appear thicker or fuller by plumping the follicle.

Perhaps recommending the best products for this particular hair type? My barber told me that I should stay away from high shine oil base pomades and chose a water base matte clay.

Hey mike i just want to give quick update about my experience with antigravity , i just use it for the first time and for me the scent is great but little to strong, scooping is nice but when i warm it into my hand, it feel to dry for me (dryer than odouds matte paste) so the application is have a little tug and pull, hold and endurace is great. I don't know if i like or don't like this product, i"ll try using this product more to figure it out.

Harrison Richards ingredients and pliability make this product stand out. It uses the silica to make your hair appear fuller and then it remains pliable while still holding for easy styling and restyling. It does a lot of the salon style functions without harmful ingredients.

Wesley Phillpot take a look at the specs and the ingredients and that will stand out. The use of different oils and essential oils make for a very different experience and then the use of silica is also a major difference. Performance wise it feels less dry in my hair with a softer overall presence but still with a good stabilizing hold.

I think you can look at it and tell its different. Matte clay isn't waterbased for 1, Transcend is a wax/clay hybrid so it still has a little shine to it, so just listening to the attributes of the product should be enough to determine that its different ;)

Miguel Angel Quinones matte clay is not waterbased, that’s the biggest difference. This is also much more lightweight in the hair. Also if you saw the ingredients used you will notice major differences there too.

Bleach Latte this one held up nicely for me. I was a tester for Steve during the making of it and I believe the only thing I noticed was a bit of deflating around the end of the day. It’s one product for me that holds forever which is nice

Phenoxyethanol is almost exact as parabens. Not a good alternative.
