It is amazing just how good this sounds, yes it's played on old instruments but yet it sounds so familiar, any piece of well written music now matter when it was wrote, can be played on instruments of any ages. I once hear Meatloaf's 'Bat Out of Hell' played on a large church organ and that was especially good. A Rockstar friend of mine had the discussion about 'Led Zeppelin' saying that 'Stairway to Heaven' was based on Mary Poppins', turns out it had more in common with Strauss.

However if it were produced in medieval times it would be banned because it has the forbidden note variations that were expelled in the 1400s and 1300s as certain note variations we're deemed to be too lustful. So they banned them out right from use in music. It wasn't until the 1500s that the church finally lifted that ban with the Protestant Lutheran Hyms of Germany.
