Yes, this dear woman deserves all the gold stars in the universe. You could literally SEE the vapours of patience radiating off of her. *coughs* or that was my glue, I don't know. Making knives out of cardboard is fuuuuuuu nnnnnn......... Seriously though, I do make crafts and props, and CA glue/superglue/crazyglue WILL burn your eyes with vapour, so do be careful. This isn't "get high" glue, this is "low die" glue. Be safe everybody

I worked at a place that made bulletproof helmets and used super glue in a few steps. Let me tell you, if you put a bunch of super glue on Kevlar and then put it in a industrial belt sander, the fumes would knock out a horse. Also using a heat gun on super glue is incredibly potent.

And here I am with my standard technique of sitting cross legged on a mattress in shorts and nothing else holding a power drill (and controlling the speed) with my feet while putting shaving sharp edges on axes and knives that I make and/or restore, as well as regularly working with large amounts of CA glue using my bare fingers to smooth, spread and apply it.. Truly I work in the spirit of the modern rogue.... Don't do what I do kids, it's dumb and you'll get hurt, at least know basic first aid and get comfortable with having scars if you do

not saying ive done this today, last week is a diff story, but your method is a good start. Id suggest putting the CA glue in a syringe and doing one tube of the card board at once then move on to the next. def make them thinner in blade profile so the CA can flow better. ya had the right idea of taping off the other side so it wont leak out. when shaping them look into a 1x30 belt sander.

Cardboard and CA glue (especially a real thin one like Krazy Glue) is the greatest college dorm prop building supply. I made a prop knife and a full scale 1911 to use as a blue gun with the stuff years ago.

If you sprinkle baking soda over C.A. glue it instantly hardens and you can build up layers to fix cracks or just build up on the glue.
