That 80s clip of people playing Dragon's Liar at the arcade brought back memories. They wanted 4 quarters to play when most games were 1 quarter. There was a line up to play and the arcade had a monitor on top so people in the crowd can see what was going on. Good times. 🐲

The Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper port for GBA was always impressive. I remember how much I loved that game. I couldn’t believe I had this huge game coming out of my GameBoy Advance. Seeing how well it ran versus Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the SNES really tells how much more powerful the GBA was than the SNES. Sound was always better on the SNES, but the GBA was an unbelievable system! Thanks for this awesome video! ❤❤❤❤❤

I really love this weird Street Fighter Alpha trilogy on unfitting Nintendo systems (1 on GBC, 2 on SNES, 3 on GBA). Makes you wonder why they went the distance on these one, but I'm glad they did as I spent so much time on every one of those amazing ports. Shame they weren't ever rereleased (apart from Alpha 2 on Virtual Console). I really hope for a console Street Fighter compilation, because after all these were the versions we mostly played on and have memories of.

It’s such a shame that Portal 64 could never be released.
@SlartiMarvinbartfast3 күн бұрын
All down to the chance of Nintendo spoiling the fun as usual - Valve requested that the Portal port be removed but that was only because the port uses libraries owned by Nintendo (in this case Nintendo's LibUltra, the SDK that's used for developing N64 games). So not Valve's fault, just them not wanting to take the risk of invoking the wrath of the big N.

As someone whos simply interested in programming but cant do much math, I like these breakdowns. Now this might soung naive, but Im getting old, my first console was an atari jr, but the idea of a processor doing millions of calculations per second can be considered "slow" just shows how amazing engineering is. Street Fighter Alpha 3 for GBA was my dream come true at the time. Although the shoulder buttons were awkward to use in a fighting game it really was unexpected to see a complete fighting game given what they previously looked like on the GameBoy and GameBoy Color. Battle Arena Toshinden, and KOF 95/96 on the GameBoy were the top fighting games before SFA3 and they were ... okay.

I remember Resident Evil 2 because I played it first on PlayStation. I had friends who said it was better there than on the Nintendo 64. I was inclined to agree with that becauae CD based games were capable of things that couldn't be done on a Nintendo 64 cartidge at the time. But RE2 actually had the FMVs on the Nintendo 64 which is pretty impressive that it could even be done.
