Man is created to praise, reverence, and serve God our Lord, and by this means to save his soul. And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man and that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created. From this it follows that man is to use them as much as they help him on to his end, and ought to rid himself of them so far as they hinder him as to it. For this it is necessary to make ourselves indifferent to all created things in all that is allowed to the choice of our free will and is not prohibited to it; so that, on our part, we want not health rather than sickness, riches rather than poverty,honor rather than dishonor, long rather than short life, and so in all the rest; desiring and choosing only what is most conducive for us to the end for which we are created

To all the men who haven't given up on our society, with all this doom and gloom out there and a system that has turned on you, you are the warriors that matter the most right now!
@shyguyportal-st3ou Жыл бұрын
Men don't just give up on society out of weakness, it's usually because they have been attacked from all angles just for simply existing. It's becoming more clear to me that deciding not to persevere in today's society as a man is an act of defiance, The more we fight back against this system the more push back there is. This has become a war of attrition.

Not really. Theres a reason so many of the homeless are ex-forces and so many cant deal with civilian life. You HAVE to be selfish to function in society. This warrior ethic where you sacrifice for others will lead you to ruin in civilian life. There is only one purpose in capitalism, yourself and taking everything you can. If not, others will and they will take your share too.

Hello Chris: I am only part the way through watching this video, however, John has helped me to feel about about myself. When I was living in Tokyo, on afternoon, there was a 6.2 quake, which was much stronger than I was used to. I was living in the top floor of a four storey apartment building. There were different frequency vibrations travelling up and down the building. Sometime, the vibrations would add together and building would give a sickening lurch. There was a very small park just behind my building. I sat on my bed frozen with fear. Since then, I have always felt really stupid about it, up until a few minutes ago. Please pass along my thanks to John. Have a really lovely day.

My dad was always gone, pushing to do the work, and neglecting our family. He also placed, and still places, a lot of responsibility on my shoulders. I've resented him for all of it, because I've always felt I missed out on the childhood I saw all my friends got to have. And he hasn't been able to understand that. I fear if I leave again, because we can't rectify this issue, he'll be disappointed in me. And that's caused immense stress in my work and home life. While i was a cop working the downtown precinct, my beat was the bar district. Always had Rangers around and this was from 06-12 so the GWOT was really hot an md heavy. Got to know a bunch of Rangers from the 1/75 and they were some of the finest human beings I've ever met. A buddy of mine who was nicknamed Mongo was always such a great dude. He bought it on one deployment to the Stan. I walked into a bar for a bar check and saw his bros standing at the bar and welcomed them back, looked around and asked "Where's Mongo? Already shacked up somewhere?" Cracking a joke. When i saw the looks on their faces i just thought "Oh no" and one of the guy's said he bought it. Broke my heart. They said they were about to do a shot in his memory so i told the bartender that this round was on me and to look after these gentlemen. The barkeep gave them their shots and I said "don't forget about me now". The bartender laughed and said "youre on duty brother" i said "I'll take the write up now give me my drink". The bartender poured me a shot, and Mongos brothers toasted him and we drank. When i tossed my money down to cover the round the bartender said "nah bro. Your moneys no good tonight" and those Rangers drank for free. I asked Mongos sergeant to give his family my deepest sympathy. I am not ashamed ti say i had tears in my eyes for a good while after that. Im also not ashamed to say i loved every one of those men like they were my brothers. When i got off duty in the morning i went home and hugged and kissed my kids and tucked them back in. Got in bed, hugged and kissed my wife, laid there and stared up at the ceiling. My wife (who was with me throught two deployments and was now also a cops wife) asked me if i was ok. All i could croak out was "Mongos dead" and i wept for him and all my bros who didnt make it home. God bless my wife, she held me and said "Thank God for men". Mongo i still miss you bro. God bless the Army Rangers and every man and woman who put their asses in harms way so that others may live their lives. Thank You, Father, for putting men like that in the world. All Glory and Honor is Yours Lord for without You there is no Glory and no Honor. Amen.

Thankfully, this Disney movie 'BroVet Bolt syndrome' of is being more rapidly cured by the day as peoples access to information let's them weigh what they're told against what they can verify to counter the endless propaganda fed to them by institutions who will never be truthful.

Chris, I have been following you for some time now and absolutely love your videos! This episode is great. And I say this as a female, non military, single mother of 2 awesome grown sons. I think throughout the years I had implemented some of the characteristics that you have shared with your audience, simply knowing their importance. I am a 100% woman that unapologetically resonates with some of this male energy, and have found that to be helpful and even life saving throughout my life. Thank you for all that you do and the guests you share with us. ❤️🙏

We have women who are running circles around many of these so called male species things, do they grow a beard to depict I`m a male? What can they do to depict a man? Right, punch the screen if the team loses.

Most of what John talks about and writes about applies accross the board. The exact application may vary between genders, but the foundation is universal, since it's based on the word of God, which is also universal with variable application...

Fear wouldn’t be fear for someone if they weren’t afraid. Those who push their ability to perform in that space are set apart and can be called brave.

I believe that I was quite vulnerable when I was at my most passive. I used to be very emotionally expressive and feel like I *had* to tell the woman I was with *everything* I was feeling. Relationships to me meant intimacy, meaning I had to let her in on all of my inner experiences and feelings. And I was emotionally needy: I could be hurt easily. You know, that's what "vulnerable" means: that's its etymology. I had to learn that trying to "be myself" that way - not worrying about "trying to be a man," dismissing masculinity as restrictive, trying to forge a new and different way to be a man which would allow me to fully express my sensitivity and so on... I had to learn that by doing that I was not making anything, I was not getting anything done, I was emotionally weak, and I was being a burden. And that's the way it is. I appreciate John's comments about "vulnerability." "Humility" is a good alternative word; I'd also propose "meekness."

It's a very fine line between relying on your partner for the support you need and placing undue burden on them while shirking your own duties.

@charlesstanford1310 it's a learning process for life. What I know now is that balance is vital, and openly communicating from both sides is the only way it works. Plus, the individual's approach should be one of open honesty and teachability, but not one of passivity or excessive complaint.

It really is about the journey not the destination. Yes retirement can be very challenging with many aspects of life. Sit and critically think about what changes and you will see the challenges. That’s why you really should strive to do what you enjoy because that is what most of your life will be👍🏼🌎☀️💙

John is pushing an idea that “seems” to have died out long ago, based on movies and books.. Reality is different, people are people, always have been.. It’s making a choice to be better and be a protector. Rock on John L. ❤🇺🇸
