Thank you Rabbi for pointing out that things are different for converts and how others who have not converted maybe take things for granted. Often I feel, as a convert, that I don’t fit into any regular circle. It can be difficult but also rewarding. The reward is always G-d.

I am curious to get a better understanding of what Rabbi Pinson said at ~ 23:30 about an experiencing not existing when I close my eyes and then the experience reappearing when I open my eyes. I mean if I close my eyes, while I may no longer be experiencing the sight of what I was able to see when my eyes were open, the aspects of my experience that I saw when my eyes were open are still there. They do not disappear when I close my eyes and reappear when I open them. I simply cannot experience seeing them when my eyelids are closed because my eyelids are blocking my eyes from the experience of seeing them. Can anyone provide further clarity on this point? Thank you.
