This reminds me of when I got pregnant at 18 un married , and my mom’s Sunday school class refused to throw a baby shower, visit me at the hospital, and kicked me out of the group. I felt so shamed that I never returned to that church. I wish people would remember that Jesus went to the adulterer and the woman at the well to heal and help them. Jesus went to the sinners to show love, compassion, and forgiveness! That’s why we should always ask what would Jesus do? We will all continually fall short of the glory of God, but Christians are here to love, encourage, and help one another grow, not judge from a cruel jealous place. Too many Christians weaponize and hide their jealousy and misery behind Christ and judgement towards others, which turns people away from, not towards God. ❤ Thanks for this amazing message, ladies!

That's not even sound advice. Scripture shows to hold one another to righteous accountability and judge righteous judgment. Obviously we can look at a situation like a new follower of Christ isn't surprising they dress immodest and need time to grow but these women are only saying don't judge because they don't like that people hold them accountable for knowing right from wrong with the immodest posts they have on their instigram.

@julianoel61966 ай бұрын
@@vivaeuropa just seeing your reply, and just wanted to say thank you for sharing your perspective! However, I would have to disagree with you based on 2 things: 1) I said that we are not to "judge" others, not that we can't speak the truth in a loving, non-judgemental way. There is a big difference. One is something the Bible warns against, while the other is something that ultimately comes through spending time with someone and sharing the truth with them in a way that uplifts them. The Bible is very clear that we as believers are not in a place to judge. In Matthew 7: 1-5, Jesus specifically says "do not judge" to those who were following him during the sermon on the mount. Just as easily as we may nitpick how others (like these young ladies) are dressed, there is often a very big "plank" in our own eye that is causing us to have an even bigger problem in our relationship with the Lord. So, pointing out their flaws publicly on the internet is in no way building them up but instead causing the same problem Jesus is referring to in those scriptures. 2) you quoted Jesus' words in your argument, which can be found in John 7:24 (KJV) "[24] Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." Your argument contradicts this verse because it says not to judge others according to appearance, which is exactly what judging others by their dress is doing. "Righteous judgment" then comes from God alone because not of us are righteous outside of Christ. If the Holy Spirit in us gives us the liberty to share with someone that their dress isn't modest enough, it's going to be done in a way that aligns with the fruits of the Spirit (lovingly, peacefully, patiently, kindly, etc.). And I can guarantee you that publicly calling someone out on the internet is not doing that at all. Again, I truly appreciate your argument and perspective and I hope this didn't come off combative! Just want the Truth to be upheld so others can know it and be set free because of it❤️

This is a beautiful platform as it shows a human, flawed journey to growing a relationship with God. I completely understand this journey you’re on ladies. I used to be in the same boat and have struggled with modesty myself! I think as you desire more of Jesus and the truly reflect Him in ALL areas of your life, your hearts will change pertaining towards what you wear. Always ask yourself “does this glorify my holy, and righteous Savior?” “Does this bring me closer to God and being a witness for Him?” “Will this be helpful for my brother or sister in Christ?” Take the time to ask those questions and allowing the Holy Spirit to convict you & lead you is key. Also remember you don’t want to do right by people- BUT TO GOD 🤍🤍 People are fickle with their warped opinions- having the spirit of the fear of the Lord is what brings us closer & closer to being more like Him 🙌🏽

@@naeco1602 Point taken. When Angela talks about how much she loves Jesus in this video...I could tell by all the "time and effort" she has spent learning and applying the Word to her life to her iniquities..it shows me how much she loves Him..that's why I made the comment..her actions..her behavior..her growth in Christ shows me how much she loves Him...she and Ari are drawing people to Christ..they are planting seeds in the social media platform..they are serving God by spreading the Word..they are His servants and doing His will. There is a lot to do to prepare for these podcasts..videos..all in the name of Christ..so they are in right standing with God...they are in His will..their testimonies are resonating with a lot of people who are non believers...they are planting the seeds to those who are non believers and educating those who are believers. It's all good! I understand there are those who are lukewarm Christian's but hopefully these girls open their eyes. And ultimately everyone will face judgment day..God's wrath will be upon everyone....and it's up to each individual regarding their walk with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

This podcast was essential! I was born in a Christian household, my dad's a Pastor, and growing up in a conservative church, I was thought to not wear pants, makeup, earrings and be modest. But I became a judgemental person, I mistook modest for being holy. The Holy Spirit started showing me how wrong I was. God had told my dad to leave the church we were in. Like the ministry we were in. He prayed so much and God putted us in a ministry where there were many people from different cultures and different missionary background. There one day at the church service, As I was singing, I looked at all the women, they were wearing makeup, jeans and jewelry buy they were praying and worshipping. Then the holy spirit in my heart said They are my daughters how dare you judge your own sisters. I felt so ashamed and from that point on I decided to change. Modesty is not only on clothes, the appearance but it starts from within us. Inside first and the outside will be a reflection of whats inside of us. Seeing you two talking about how God has changed and is changing you both is the same as he did to me but I was on the opposite side of the spectrum. Thank you girls ❤❤❤❤

"modesty of the heart" is a typical excuse of prot Stacey and bible-thumping Becky
@joacimohrnell3346 Жыл бұрын
What makes a woman truly beautiful is her ways, her heart and her soul. Her having a relationship with God is what makes her beautiful. Her faith makes her beautiful. Being natural and modest makes her beautiful. The bible is full of truths, yes, and these verses really proves that a woman and her ways is of uttermost importance. Proverbs 2:16-19 Proverbs 5:1-14 Proverbs 6:24-35 Proverbs 7:6-27 Proverbs 9:13-18 Proverbs 11:22 Proverbs 12:4 Proverbs 14:1 Proverbs 19:13 Proverbs 21:9 Proverbs 21:19 Proverbs 25:24 Proverbs 27:15-16 Isaiah 3:16-26 Then theres verses that plainly says what a good woman is like. Proverbs 12:4 Proverbs 19:14 Proverbs 31:10-31 Ephesians 4:1-6 Ephesians 5:21-24 Ephesians 5:33 1 Timothy 3:11 1 Timothy 5:16 1 Timothy 2:9-15 is absolutely beautiful since it talks about outer appearences and inner qualities. 1 Peter 3:1-6 is kind of the same, very beautiful. I was just very confused by something one of you said. You read the verses about outer appearences from 1 Peter and 1 Timothy I think, and later on one of you said that no matter what you would continue to dress in a certain way, put makeup on, and so forth. You also used the argument you would do that, no matter what any christian says. That hit me, especially since you said you werent just talking, but you were also walking. I will tell you this: listen to christians when they stand upon the word of God. But more importantly, listen to God, obey his word. Gods ways are higher then our ways, Gods thoughts are higher then ours. Then lastly, just to wrap it up, Jesus Christ himself said that if you love him, you keep his words.

That seems to make sense that "modesty comes from the heart" as the Bible says "but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God" (1 Timothy 2:10). Perhaps modesty, the right way for women, stems from the good deeds they actually do from their hearts, but I am not a woman to know exactly. As a man, I think it is absurd to dress in a way that is too sexy, but that might be a challenge for haughty women who might be sexually immoral (Proverbs 11:22).

This is AMAZING! Truly candid and authentic. It is rather unfortunate that Christians can be so cruel sometimes. It regularly pushes me away from my faith at times. I love the honestly and its so so evident that you both deeply consider these matters and actively humble yourselves regularly. That's what it looks like to be in relationship with Christ. I am really big on doing things based on the conviction of Christ. It is all to easy to fall in line with "what is expected of Christians" as far as modesty goes. This is a heart poster that seeks to please man and acceptance from other Christians. Our heart posture should be tp please the Lord above all else and have the openness to correction. God know if we are just pleasing our fellow man over him. This is truly amazing and once again it's so evident that you both are seeking the Lord in this way. Conversations around modesty often come with pride, but there is such a strong sense of humility that you both bring to the table.

I can say as a minister of the gospel globally our appearance and how we adorn ourselves can be a distraction to the full light of Christ coming though and when as we share and speak people can see nails hair and the attire over the spirit and words. Let us fade and He come forward! Light makeup, clothes that are feminine but not too tight or revealing, modest nails etc. Still feminine and beautiful. Your spirit and His light will shine so bright and the worldly pressures should go down! Women need your voice to champion modesty and vanity to fade. The more we know his presence and holiness we want to cover. The world and even in church will promote to sexy it all- but that’s for marriage and in the bedroom not to display out for the world. Men also need modesty. God bless you- keep seeking him amen

I’m glad I listened to this. To be honest, I listened to your first podcast or 2 and found some inconsistencies with the Bible so I stopped listening. Additionally I found y’all’s IG’s and was kind of disappointed as it seemed y’all presented yourselves much differently on the pod than you did on IG. That said, I’m glad to hear that God is working to refine your ways to be His way and His thoughts your thoughts. We are all still a work in progress, and I’m glad to see your faith is real and you desire to obey God in all His ways, not just the easy ones or the ones you want. So many people decide to follow God in ways they agree with, but decided His way isn’t best in the hard things and I think that’s likely what people were afraid of seeing in you guys in the beginning. Angie, I got chills when you started crying about how other Christians made you doubt your faith. I’m so sorry that happened. One thing that I just want you to remember is that there are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Just because someone calls themselves a “Christian” doesn’t mean they are. Jesus even said many will come to the father and He will say He never knew them. Matthew 7:21-23 Be strong girls! My only caution is that because you are newer Christian’s, just make sure everything you say is fully aligned with scripture as to not mislead someone. I think it can be easy to see characteristics of God like loving and forgiving and gracious and forget that he is also a jealous and just God. He is our judge and he will judge us all at the end of our life’s. The blood of Jesus covers those of us who believe and saves us from penalty, but He is a just God and will bring justice upon those who don’t. Love, from your OC neighbor and sister in Christ. ❤

I honestly think that as long as everything you do glorifies God, from your thoughts to the way you behave, you don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks. Other people just get in the way of our relationship with God. A big part of modesty is humility, and when we humble ourselves, everything about us changes. The outside starts to look like the inside. The important part is being able to surrender everything to Christ. I think that's where most of us struggle. We don't want to surrender our entire life to Christ. We still want to hang on to certain sinful parts of our lives because they make us feel good.

I totally agree with you both. It is true that many of the "household of faith" can be very apprehensive and even border on acting judgemental at times when considering if and when to let their guards down as the devil is always trying to distract, deceive, and destroy us all. But then we have to remember "the speck and beam in the eye" advice Jesus warns us all of. I am thankful to hear how honest and transparent you both are. We need more of that, and we should all be able relate. You both have the true beauty that Christ speaks (the heart). I can sense your passion and love for Jesus, and you are living His word in both words and deeds. Please stay encouraged and let not the devil try to shatter your confidence or efforts. Keep lifting Jesus up, and He will deal with our accusing and deceitful foe(s) at the appointed time. Hugs to you both.
