My brother who travelled to Bangalore for a seminar via train with a confirmed ticket was shunted to the top berth throughout the journey while the lower berths were occupied by RAC & WL passengers this too in an AC coach.

Whether calling it NDA 3.0 or Modi 3.0, is it likely to make that much of a difference? When you say the Govt used unnecessary force in stopping earlier farmer's 'protests', isn't that what was done throughout Europe too? As a matter of fact, these weren't farmers per se, but 'paid' initiatives, meant to disrupt normal work. I think there is no point in doing unnecessary criticism of the Govt, just for the sake of doing something. The earlier (Congress) Govt was only into giving 'freebies' - at least the BJP has made some good changes.

A lot of the criticism is on wrong premises. 1. I have yet to meet a trucker who is upset about toll charges. It is a pass on cost and they save money by not waiting in snarling traffic. There has also been a lot of improvement in the waiting time at tolls due to the fast tag system. Truckers make money when the travel times are lower and they are not unhappy with the better roads. 2.The improvement in Railways with faster trains and better punctuality is welcomed by the regular passengers. All premium trains are running at full capacities and are making money. The accidents have reduced even if even accident is one too many. For decades, Indian trains were the worst in the world and are getting better. There can be argument about the need for better local services but not ticketless travel. 3. The so called farmer's agitation was limited to the areas around Delhi. These areas got big benefits in 60s and 70s due to the MSP as well as the better irrigation facilities . However, despite their getting huge subsidies, these areas are no longer the bigger agricultural output states. Eg MP today produces more Wheat than Punjab & Haryana combined. The farmers get little government support but they are not joining the protests. The biggest protests are by the Arathiyas - commission agents, not farmers. Dalal is entitled to criticise the government but let her do that on a factual basis, not support for ticketless travel and arathiyas. Bhagwat's criticism was logical and when talked odf Manipur, he was spot on. The Agniveer scheme has its own issues. Many former defence personnel have criticised it and there may be a need to find better solutions. There is a big problem that manufacturing industry ahs difficulties in getting skilled labour while the unemployment rate is high. There are genuine problems but Dalal is completely out of touch with reality.

I will stop at -- " I have yet to meet a trucker who is upset at toll charges" -- it only means that you are not in touch. We are journalist, WE have engaged with the truckers union, their issues, their representations to the Union Minister Gadkari etc. I will not go into it. You can google our website. @@SuchetaMoneylife I listened to the whole video. The video was made in 2021 and all the data quoted are from earlier dates. If you listen carefully, you will see the bigger complaints are about delays at toll booths- which was a reality earlier but has significantly reduced in the last few years. Driver tiredness, poor pay etc has little to do with the new expressway construction. I have also been dealing with some of the issues for over 2 decades and the transit time and truck turnaround time have definitely improved. The toll rates, fuel prices etc are debatable issues but the transporters merely pass them on to their customers. You can argue that this causes inflation and affects poor but that is another subject. In criticising the government, it is important to appreciate good work which has been done in construction of expressways and highways. The reasons for electoral results are complex. We know vote shares but after that everyone has his own opinion. Democracy means multiple opinions but good journalists ( and I generally have a good opinion about your work) should also provide critical analysis , not just criticism

I often travel between Bengaluru and Chennai and used to traveling by Shatabdi; there are two Shatabadi between Bengaluru and Chennai, one of these two begins and terminates at Mysore and passes through Bengaluru. The priorities of the Govt are skewed to one side! Now Two Vande Bharats have been added to the existing trains; one similarly begins and terminates at Mysore and passes through Bengaluru! While traveling to Chennai on the last occasion, I was surprised to find that the compartment was occupied barely 25% when I used to find in my earlier travels the train full and people in RAC/waiting list running after the Ticket Checker/TC. When the TC came, I asked him, "What's the reason for such a low occupancy?" He responded that with two rakes of Vande Bharat added, this is the norm for either Shatabadi or Vande Bharats! I asked, "Is today an unusual day; he responded that this is the norm! While Shatabdi and Vande Bharats have lower occupancies, the other trains find the reserved compartments going jam-packed. While starting Vande Bharat, the Indian Railways have to replace Shatabdi, at least on routes where the demand isn't as high, therefore, a survey of the route needs to precede the addition! This segment has also the option to travel by own four-wheelers and a section of this segment prefer that for different reasons. Simultaneously, much more attention needs to be paid to the needs to the travelers of other segments of society as they depend on these or buses.

The quality of the staff thanks to outsourcing is pathetic even in AC coaches while the prices of tickets have shot up drastically . Same goes for the condition of the most basic stuff like toilets - flushes are not working many a times in the long distance trains and nobody bothers to repair them even in the starting stations. What kind of betterment is this ? The bio toilets minus working flushes are a big failure - When you report in the complaint no. they do send people who are totally helpless and do nothing / know nothing . Attendants happily consume alcohol while on duty. This is progress and improvement for you

The root issue stems from undesired welfare programs. I've observed numerous individuals labeled as "poor," holding BPL cards, benefiting from multiple welfare programs (even though they're not supposed to be eligible, given their decent income), thus earning substantial amounts of money. A significant portion of the considerable tax revenue collected from the diligent middle class isn't being reinvested in development projects. This imbalance affects the financial statement, leading to mismanagement, additional tax burdens, and disorder.😢

In first 100 days, People of India 🇮🇳 expecting new Govt to ensure : 1)Fill 30 lakh job vacancies....Ban EVMs first....Modi must act decently, NO manmaani.... Modi must make visit to Manipur first and restore peace immdtly, dismiss Biren singh govt..... Reduce GST% ..No GST on food items....No more Mann ki baat... PM must hold Press conference atleast once a month... 2) get the law immdtly to STOP horse trading, declare it as national crime, no more party changing except by resignation.. 3) no more politics on religion, gods, separate the governance from religion, get strict law immdtly with punishment as in Singapore... 4) RSS must be prevented to interfere in govt affairs 5) Control Godi Media, no more Modi propaganda, get the LAW to make Media neutral.. 6) judiciary must be neutral, govt should stop interference.. 7) Electoral bond scam must be probed under court supervision. 8) all democratic norms must be followed in true spirit, no more communal hatred atmosphere in country.. 9) let there be Common Minimum Program of coalition govt and not for pursuing RSS Or BJP agendas.. 10) no more Modi campaign in any of govt programs, no more Modi photos, ads, this coalition is not Modi's govt, Modi must be stopped from any election's campaign, rallies, meetings, Roadshows etc at the cost of Taxpayers money... the PM must do his duty 24x7 only to pursue PM duties, not party activities... 11) let there be website to know what every MP doing, how he is spending constituency funds, online interaction with MPs/Ministers Is must. 12) let there be no debate on unproductive issues like UCC, NRC, ONOE, CAA, anything related to religion, gods etc. Let's all make the India 🇮🇳 great again with Freedom of Speech and Peace for all sections of society... 😎..

Modi is the ‘best’ product from the rss factory and during his 10 yrs rule rss has made massive financial gains. From converting rss shakhas into swanky offices to bribing rss leadership Modi has done it all. This posturing by rss is just a facade to hide their mutually beneficial partnership. So don’t take rss seriously because if it were to walk the talk then what stopped it from compelling modi to course - correct while he was diverting…

The pain is not deep enough . The people may suffer but they are still on the face of it quite ok. They still vote in large enough numbers to bring the bjp back.. the middle class too seems fine ..look at delhi a clean sweep. The question not the margin of victory the question is that one way or another its effective victory .

Real progress and reforms were used as carrot for people who were fed up of Congress and it's poor track record, to keep voting for BJP in the hope that the next term something real will happen.... instead we saw some really cool spit polish on the old brass. Having driven across most parts of the country over many years and enjoyed it, I can only tell you, it's become a very painful, tedious and tiring affair now...

Why this drama by Mohan Bhagwat after 10 years, just because BJP didn't get minimum majority seats? Communal RSS is totally obsolete and irrelevant in present times, RSS should stop interfering in power politics....whether communal RSS and bhagwat sleeping last one year when manipur has been burning, why bhagwat awoke now? can anybody trust him, he should stop dramabazi.... Why Biren singh govt not being dismissed in Manipur? RSS BJP one and the same, infact, RSS is the root cause of Manipur genocidal violence, people are aware of state sponsored violence.....even now, if he has concern for 🇮🇳 India he wouldn't have allowed corrupt dishonest Modi_Shah to continue .... A leader of government whose philosophy has been " my way or the highway" for over two decades. Who has systematically destroyed institutions that stood for accountability and federal independence of states, whose humanity and morality is wrapped in sycophany and dross. Cannot in the last quartile of life be expected to change to accommodation and teamship. Habits are too entrenched to change, in my opinion. You have highlighted the roadblocks correctly, it is to be seen what political expediency makes of them.
