The crux of the matter is that they have the majority and that matters. Modi knows that people will never give the opposition enough vote to rule in their own right. So now and in the future he has the same power that he had in the parliament before. This is the reality of politics in India. It will take decades for Congress to come on its own and others will not side with them totally. There will always be CBN and Nitish to fil the gap for the BJP.. It appears that this "ecosystem" journalist does not deserve to be introduced by Burkha as a Biographer of N Modi. He is mouthing the baseless charges made by several Congress leaders. What an a'ole commentator. Keeps referring to BJPs earlier mandate as BRUTE majority (whaddafk is 'brute' in a democratic outcome?). And why does the ntcase keep saying Modi has only 240 MPs on his side? He's the leader of a PRE-POLL alliance that WON; and per Indian Constitution the Prime Minister must have majority support of MPs not MPs of his own party. Manmohan Singh had far fewer Congress MPs in the Parliament!!

Borh the PM Modi's speeches in Lok sabha and Rajya Sabha were repetitive , vacuous and incoherent. He did not address the concerns highlighted by the MPs from the I.N.D.I.A bloc. He has not come to turns with the new realities where the BJP with its 240 LS MPs is absolutely dependent on two pre -poll alliance partners viz JDU's with 12 LS MPs and TDP's 16 LS MPs .to reach the magic number of 272 which is needed to form and run the government.

We are clutching at straws where Modi seems to have taken up so much mindshare that making a passing remark is being touted as a speech on Manipur. There was no calling, no outreach of peace and no message to the people to withdraw arms. It was a defensive report of what the BJP has done to restore normalcy and a rebuke to the opposition. Sometimes we debate the perception and trivialities rather than the core issues on this channel. Why did he not speak about enforcing President rule after a year while the state continued to burn, while they were quite eager to do it in Kashmir? He rather spoke about how it was done in the Congress regime several times, because of their inability to run a small state, he seems like the stepson with a chip on his shoulder on the injustice of the stepmother (Congress).
