I really like your videos. Took loads of ideas for my car. I am planning to get a spoiler for my car aswell. Just wanted to know the way you have installed the spoiler wouldn't it come off? You just stick the spoiler with m3 glue/tape. Is it gonna be fully secure?

Yeah, I was hesitant to start with too however, it's absolutely solid and I've done the same with this spoiler on 3 cars now!

Such a good video. I really miss my 140 but I had a lot of problems with it, I bought it from a dealer. In the end ended up trading it in for an S3 Saloon, my 140 was mapped and I really miss the power, I just don’t miss it when it’s raining or snowy

@@BrettBarnesYT air con compressor exploded, caused loads of stuff to malfunction with the heaters. Car would like proper shake when sat in traffic even without the air on on. Cars cooling system stopped holding water just before I sold it too

It’s always best to reset a remap in a car you just got. You literally don’t know if they’ve just given it anything and next thing you know, your engine is done for. Had to do this for my bmw. Thankfully they told me about it, reset and then properly remapped my car.

Your cars starting to look mega Brett !! Don’t blame you allowing BMW reset to factory… I’ve had map issues in the past and got lag and that dreaded drive train error message we’re all familiar with 😩😭 keep up the great content mate 👍🏻🚘

How much does a full Tank cost you usually?

When I had the 116D 1.5 diesel last year, a full tank cost £75 for 500 miles. Now I'm in a Peugeot e-208 which costs £12 for 200 miles (99% battery charge) at a public charger or £2.10 overnight at home. 3.0+ must be so expensive, I wouldn't even contemplate filling it up for fun.

@@josh_1503 Definitely! I miss my 116d especially the rapidness in sport mode. But then again, my e-208 does 0-40mph in 4 secs in normal/sport mode. By 2030 this m140i will be highly sought after.

@Josh _150 3/4 of a tank gets you about 250 miles if driven around town and quite hard over mountain passes etc (28ish mpg). About 300 miles if driven a bit more sensibly like on motorways @ around 32 mpg. And up around 350 to a full ish tank (leaving 1/8th before filling up) if driven

That won’t be a problem but Out of interest how do people normally do it when they’ve bought the car via OBD then?

@@BrettBarnesYT most BMW cars 68 plate onwards are DME locked from factory, so requires going to a tuner to remove the ECU and bench unlock it. You can't do it yourself with just your odb cable. And then when you take your car into BMW and allow them to upgrade your software then they lock the DME in this process! Not the end of the world but it's hassle... By the way, download MHD app and it allows you to check yourself free if BMW have locked your DME which I'm sure they have, you don't need to buy the licence. I'm sure you'll make a video when you come to it at least.
