This is why I still have my 1992 SE-R that I bought brand new back in October of that year. Since owning this car I have owned about a dozen other cars/makes but I just couldn't part with my SE-R. It's no longer serves as my daily - my 2015 Civic Si fits that duty now but its a great little car to take out to the track on the weekend and just have fun for all the reasons described in this video.

Props, Matt. I owned 2 B13 SE-R's for the better part of 20 years. I was never was a Honda guy. I loved the SR20 for its low end torque, yet still revved to nearly 8K with proper software tune and cams. Remember Jim Wolf tuning? Or Hotshot Performance? I went back and forth on the fence for 3 years debating on selling my beloved B13 and finally pulled the trigger back in 2013. It was a sad day. The sentimental value far outweighed the actual value. Long live what we like to call the "Classic" SE-R!

crossphaded I have a Gen. 3 (?) hotshot header at home for this car. Saving up to get JWT s1 cams and a flashed ecu for it as well.

Nice! Mine was pretty much maxed out on bolt-ons. Never wanted to go turbo because I wasn't a big fan a torque steer. It did about 20-25 track days with no real problems other than the axles. Had CAI/HS Gen 3/JWT S3 cams/JWT tune/UR pullies/minor valve job and was putting down about 160 to the wheels. Miss that car. Join 'B13 SE-R Squad' group on Facebook if you haven't already!

I owned a 91 NIssan Sentra SE-R. The Sentra would smoke Mustangs and BMW's of the same era. With the stock SR20DE, 5 Speed, 4 wheel Disc Brakes, independent front and rear suspension. 2450 lbs. The only modifications were Tokico Performance Shocks, open air element and an Optima Battery. The 91-94 Sentra SE-R was one of Car and Drivers 10 Best all four years it was produced. I would be pulling the e-brake, doing 180's and smoking the tires. My dad is a car guy and the Sentra impressed him.

Thank you for taking me back to the 90s Matt. I had a few of these SE-R back then along with a G20. Fantastic cars to modify. Owner forgot to mention that it has a limited slip differential from the factory. Now someone has to show up with a nice NX2000 with a SR20VE swap.

No body seems to care about the P10 G20. It actually has a very bad ass front suspension architecture and the car has won many BTCC races. It's about 350-400 lbs heavier but with a mild 6psi Bluebird or Avenir engine swap (SR20DET) it makes it a super fun car to drive. I picked up a rod knocking G20 about 15 years ago for 900 bux on Ebay and did the swap. It was a sweet daily driver with about 240whp.

The sentra b13 chasis is a very good car to modify, and is very underappreciated as well. The car is lightweight, and it can easily fit an sr20 on it. The handling is superb, for an economy car of the nineties, steering is precise and with the stock suspension, it takes curves surprisingly well. Also seats are comfortable. My grand dad has one, the base model and i love to drive that car. Didn't have a lot of power but it is a joy to drive.

crossphaded they didn't even add horsepower to the Sentra Nismo just handling shit unlike Nissan of past years where they put different engines with more HP in their performance models it's sad to see the enthusiast cars die off from a brand that had some of the best ones back in the 80's-90's it's a real shame.

I bought one of these in '91, brand new. I remember it being impressively fast for the day, and very powerful compared to any other econo-box 4-cylinder car on the market at the time. Very fun to drive -- yet still got *great* fuel mileage if you didn't romp on it all the time. Loved to rev -- all the power was at the top end. Handled really well. Just a great car overall, especially considering how relatively inexpensive it was.

In what Universe did they have a Sentra in NFS U2?
I lust for older Nissans, and I was JUST talking to my coworker about buying one....its a sign!

baconaise87 I just sold mine Monday. This isn't helping me getting over it.

baconaise87 Don't do it. I regretted selling mine but granted I was a broke college student and the body needed a lot of work I couldn't afford at the time.

I've owned several cars since the 80s, but my 91 SE-R was the only NEW car I ever bought. Couldn't keep it long, as it just wasn't practical for my life at the time, but I regret trading it in pretty much every day. Such a fun little car.

This is bullshit. I can hardly find a 1st Gen but when I do, they're wrecked and people want $3k. One asked $1k for just the shell.

Archibald VonFookFace I bought my friend se-r for 600$ lol. I bought a clean stock rust free 240 for 1,300$. It takes a lot of time and searching, but cheap good cars are out there!.

I miss my 1994 SE-R , it was my first introduction into tuning, the late 90's were a breed of their own in regards to making 4 cylinders go fast

1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R was the second car I owned. Oh how I miss that car! That was the funnest car I ever owned. I found out that driving it like I did, cost a lot of money in repairs. Because of the lessons I learned with it, I take care of my cars today a lot better than I did back then. When I bought it, there was a little rust under the rocker panel. I ignored it and it pretty much ate that car alive. That's not good in Minnesota winters.

I gotta a Sentra XE I'm using as a daily and then I have my good friend (who was my former boss) who has a SE-R. Nice and tight, '94 and he has about 130k miles on it as he keeps it in his garage and drives it on the weekends. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to drive it :)

Hate to say I never saw this whole video until today, the owner sent me the link years ago! Just got lost in time. Sold him the springs that are under it =) Great little car, great owner. I finally picked up one again to have fun with alongside the Datsun 510.
