I have this exact same car, same year, all that good stuff....i can say this much about it. I bought mine for 850 bucks a d it was SUPER CLEAN. I thought something had to be wrong with it for it being so cheap to purchase. So far, this has been THE BEST damn car I've ever had! I drive delivery for dominos and I drive the crap out this car and I've NEVER had an issue, except with an ignition issue that was a relatively easy fix. It's one of the best deals I've ever gotten on ANYTHING in life. I'm so grateful for my lil gallant and still wash her and vacuum her out on the REG and change her oil every 3k miles cause she's worth it. It's driving is zippy to! Don't let these guys fool you into believing it's completely gutless. I've smoked a few decent rides off the line at a red before. All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 on my love for my galant, I'd give her a safe 9. Can't really think of any cons aside of the fact that the stock stereo in it doesn't come with an AUX outlet....thats about my biggest complaint. It's roomy and comfortable and drives like a dream most times and I couldn't be happier!
@billvassi3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more. I have a new Honda Accord which I love but wanted a 2nd car for bad weather & to keep the miles on my Accord low. So I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant for a very decent price. Let me tell you this car rides like a dream and is super reliable. I added a decent double din JVC Bluetooth stereo, a backup camera & $100 JBL speakers in in the rear. I bought a piano black dash kit to cover the wood grain. The car looks great, drives great, is reliable & comfortable. And since I added the upgrades, I dont mind driving it at all, switching off from a brand new Honda Accord. This is a very solid & underrated car. Some of the best money I've ever spent. Not as good as your bargain of $850 though.

never knew these were made for so long. thought the galants ended somewhere in 2002 - these were never imported to europe, and it's the first time I see one. you're wrong about Y2k ruining mitsu though. I have a 2004 lancer wagon with 249 000 kms, and it just sits near the fence now that i've bought my 08 audi a6 allroad, but another car in the family is a 2005 colt with 96 000 kms, and both the mitsus are great... i mean, mine was also, until the oil sump gasket started to leak, and to change that i have to take the subframe lower member off, which i'll eventually do, but just haven't gotten to that yet. the mitsus are dead reliable, on my 2004 lancer wagen i still run very many original wear an tear parts, like the front lower control arm bushings, and majority of the rear mnultilink ind. susp. bushings, and that's in a country with some of the more stringent MOT rules in Europe. it's a pity mitsu's having such bad times, especially looking how mazda and hyundai are able to rise and shine, but as I understand mitsus were cheating for a long time about their consumption figures, were involved in a bunch of legal matters, changed their CEOs tens of times in the last 10 years - but hey, the company still produced some of the greatest cars, like their last evo 10 (from which many parts are exactly as on my 2004 lancer) - and that car, even compared to modern wrx'es and focuses st, doesn't fare too badly from the mechanical standpoint. now they've sold 30% to nissan, but hope they are still coming back. good luck, mitsu!
