Hey Danny..I have dual fpdm’s..Ford GT pumps and a billet hat..press jumps to 60lbs when I nail it..has been bullet proof since I installed it..Whipple 2.3..3.25 upper…4 lb lower..20-21 lbs boost..640 rwhp on the 93 hot tune…one more tune left..100 race only tune..never tried that one yet..car has always run perfect…except for a injector that stopped firing on the highway every once in a while..replaced that…cylinder # 2..no more misfires..otherwise..never had an issue with fuel system…good vids…😀😀

Thanks for the video and information! I have been considering putting GT super car fuel pumps on my cobra and the whole idea of a modified fuel pump delivery module has been a mystery to me preventing me from taking the leap forward. Eventually I would like to have a Whipple and I’m currently trying to eliminate supporting mods before I go that far such as clutch fuel system etc. again thanks so much for the information and producing the videos I really appreciate the content!

My first Terminator had the returnless system with a boost-a-pump and I hated it. Always had running and/or idling issues and blown bap fuses. Now my second Terminator has many of the same upgrades as my first--whipple 2.3, 60lb injectors, etc. But this car has a Division X return style fuel system which uses the factory rails with a custom regulator and fuel hat. If I had the work done myself, I would have gone with the Fore return system, but that being said, I have had no issues with the Division X setup and the cobra runs clean and strong and gives me many smiles per gallon. With the return style system, both the fpdm and boost-a-pump can be omitted. Good video Danny!

I will be running a 4.6 2v that's been forged, bored 20, stroked, and supercharged. It's a returnless system with an Aeromotive 340 pump and 60 lb injectors. My goal is 500 rwhp. I have a 2003 gt. Still returnless fuel system. I’m having fuel pressure problems. I put a mechanical gauge right before it spits into both fuel rails. It’s reading 25 psi for about 15 mins than gets lower until the car cuts off the warmer the car gets. Fuel rail pressure sensor is reading 40psi the whole time. I have changed the pumps, fuel rail pressure sensor, fuel pump driver module and fuel filter. Still doing the same thing. Here’s the list of the fuel system the car has Twin cobra pumps Kennebell boost a pump Aeromotive rails 60 pound injectors what else would cause fuel pressure to drop like this. When the car is cold it runs just fine but after a a little bit of driving it loses fuel pressure. Please help!

Hi Danny, hopefully you remember me from a post a few months ago. I have a 2003 GT return fuel system and a swapped KB super charger and KB BAP the mechanic wired it wrong. The red to the purple of the Mach 1000 amps fried a lot. I’m trying to fix all of this. I haven’t been able to drive it much because of this issue however during the tuning that shop said it was lean and not getting enough fuel. To resolve all of this I’m planning on upgrading my alternator, running two fuel pumps, a remanufactured CCRM, and to my question I’m reading it’s better to use two FPDM’s vs. a modified one? With the BAP. I feel like a dog chasing it’s tail so far I keep replacing one after the other. I have replaced the wiring harness (the latest fix). To the best of my knowledge the BAP and ECU or main computer are still working. Thank apologies for the long winded question.

Do appreciate the experience/Intel. This will be good to know when I finally start upgrading my 03 white mach 1. What is your fix to the non-existant NOS Mach 1/Cobra ABS control module? Mine decided that it no longer wants to communicate with the PCM. ABS light glows along with the traction control light. And yes, she spins those tires a lot easier with the traction control disengaged. I've searched around for a new one and I've inquired about getting this one rebuilt. I keep receiving the GT version (doesn't have cobra on the housing) and the rebuilders tell me that it won't be FULLY rebuilt. Some of the electronics won't even be considered in the rebuild. That makes me think that it will be rebuilt for the GT model. Then, I would still have to get it reprogrammed to the car.
@dannyjohnsonsgarage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it’s not fun when it stops working. And it has to be from the same year. A friend of mine bought a 1998 one, both said cobra but it wouldn’t work. My abs light came on and lo and behold it was actually the axle reluctor ring that had come loose and the rear sensor was getting a bad reading. With a new ring (I also rebuilt the rear end entirely) it was good again. Maybe you’ll get lucky and cleaning the sensors or something will fix it. If not the module can be unplugged and the top part only replaced I believe. It’s no fun with it’s not a cut and dry answer
@kennethtaylor24443 жыл бұрын
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage Already did all of the cleaning and diagnosing bit. It's definitely the abs module. My Snap-on computer won't connect to it. I've checked everything. Was hoping you had a hookup to someone that might happen to have an extra or someone that could rebuild them. Keep the vids coming .You are doing a great job. Thanks

Interesting video. My 02 GT died in traffic today but I was getting jerky movement for about 2 weeks now. I thought maybe the transmission was about to die. Anyway, the car threw a P1237 code and freeze frame data showed only 5.7 PSI for fuel pressure. The fuel pump driver is 20 years old. So, maybe this is my problem?
@edross6412 жыл бұрын
What did you find out
@genericdude65512 жыл бұрын
@@edross641 The fuel pump died - the FPDM was OK. It was very difficult to replace the pump since I had a full tank of gas. Getting the fuel tank back into place was quite a challenge, also, even though it was empty. Getting the fuel filler nozzle back in to the tank without breaking the nozzle was the biggest problem. This job would have been easier if I had access to a hydraulic lift.

hello friend, I was wondering if the FPDM from mustangs 99-04 work on lincoln continental 98? I opened mines up and the chip that I want to change is this chip part number "n76064kc002 r1b4f501fn 85adx7w wg", I doubt it would work the same. The reason why I want to do this is because they still sell new FPDM at oreillys and are more available at junk yards for mustangs but nothing available for lincoln continental 98.
@dannyjohnsonsgarage2 жыл бұрын
I would imagine it’s the same for the Lincoln, but in 1998 the mustang had a different fpdm, so you’ll probably need the pre 1999
