These results were very surprising for me. Since the hyperfire has already been sent back home, I need to get one of my very own in order to do some testing with it. I'd like to put a tightly wound motor in the pusher mechanism and see if the conveyor belt can handle it.

It seems that the Hyperfire absolutely has a higher rate of fire by a substantial number, but the Nosferatu seems a lot more consistent. I'd say it's a tie

Boom tendo yup the guys at MTB also made a rapidstrike whith 10dps but now that they have built motors whith their own specs like hellcats so it has 11dps just as good as the mosferatsu

The belt system on the hyperfire is slipping on darts, making it inconsistent.

I think the conveyer belt probably has a lower ceiling as far as cyclic rates go because of that. You could probably fix that with a chain driven drive mechanism, but it would probably cause excessive wear and tear on darts and is probably excessive for a foam dart shooter.

you would need two 3s lipos, coated and reinforced flywheels, and very tough darts

Just throw a normal 7v lipo in it., custom flywheels with lots of grip to not shred the darts from initial friction, and a cooling system as Rc car motors heat up like fucking crazy.

It looks to me like it might be the drum that's causing that discrepancy; Hyperfire is using the new drum in the first test, but the Nosferatu is using it in the side-by-side comparison. I suspect the newer drum feeds more reliably, seeing as the Hyperfire outclassed the Nosferatu in DPS the first time around.

The Derp Side Not really. First of all, the end of the video showed the Rapidstrike won. Second of all, it was most likely a special occasion. Just like how the Rapidstrike hicupped and suffered lower dps, the Hyperstrike just randomly shot faster. The only way to know for sure who has higher dps, besides this video's information, is to empty a mag out a few times, record dps, and average it and look at the data.

Great comparison, though I have to say your test procedure on the side by side has some issues. The HyperFire drum was optimized for full auto, likely far above 5 DPS to accommodate for QC variances in production models. The Rampage drum (first used in the Nosferatu mag dump, then in the HyperFire in the side by side) was optimized for a pump-action blaster, and has been noted by many to have feeding issues at high fire rates. The lull time experienced in these tests is because of those feeding issues - because you only had three tests, I can't really call the speed comparison conclusive. A better method, I think, would be multiple side by side tests using 18-round stick mags or individual blaster tests and audio recording software for shot spacing calculation (which I'm sure you used this round).

The Nosferatu only won in the last firing demo because it had the faster feeding drum than the Hyperfire did. And the beginning hiccup was the pusher not being fully retracted

The reason that the Nosferatu was faster was probably because of the drums he used in the last test, the drum that comes with the hyperfire is way better at full auto than the rhinofire drums

The average darts per second for the hyperfire was actually 1 DPS faster than the rapidstrike (9.5 DPS for the hyperfine 8.5 for the rapid strike).

Maybe the conveyer belt needs to be modified. The small nubs that catch the darts to push them into the flywheels maybe aren't large enough, and that results in the conveyer bet skipping darts.

Drac, Not enough tests went into this to call it a firm conclusion. It's really easy to call it an error between the feeding of the drums and mags. To do a true test, you definitely need to do multiple tests and changing mags to get an average of their performance. I would recommend you doing this once again you get a Hyperfire of your own to solve it once and for all

the hyperfire fired faster but there was problems with the darts loading into the coveyorbelt in time to line up with the spots on the conveyorbelt. in bursts i'f go with the hyperfire because you wont have to worry about that as much.

In my opinion of this video, you let the hyperfire spin up way too long before pulling the trigger on the belt, allowing too much slippage initially. Try pulling that rev trigger and pusher trigger closer to the same time and you’ll get way better results. It can even straight up spin up spitting darts if you want it to, dollars to donuts. Winner hyperfire.

Now try a MTB honeybadger pusher in a rapidstrike on a 3s. I have one in my main primary and the ROF is absolutely ridiculous. 14-16 darts per second! I am the kind of person to just carry as many mags as possible, even though I am not the body type for a heavy loadout

I really like the nerf hyperfire because it shoot five darts per second. It is still my top two favorite nerf gun for stock hyperfire. For rapidstrike, it shoot slow. Not big fan of rapidstrike still but it looks awesome.
