This is great, I just tried it. Looks good. I've done lots of chenille ropes in the past. This is a great variation of the same stitch. Thank you so much, Jennifer. I didn't have any problem following your video.

Ok, so re-watched a chenille video and to my delight, I had totally forgotten about this stitch. (I've been doing the same two stitches over and over and getting bored.) Not sure how this dropped out of my repetoir! There are clearly issues with this vid but you don't need me to tell you that. Btw, always looking for new superduo necklaces! THANK YOU FOR REDOING! SO APPRECIATE THAT. 😁

Pretty easy, once you get the pattern down. Two generous wingspans are enough to complete one tube. If hanks of the black and red beads are used, you need to cull out the odd ones - be as consistent in bead size as possible or the tube is lumpy. A good, strong yank after each addition helps to make a nice firm tube. The red beads especially need a real good tug otherwise the thread and bead may twist due to fitting them in between two beads - you need to hear the "snap" that you've seated it really well. I had to redo the first tube because it was so squishy. Unfortunately, I only had one 22g tube of 8/526 and needed two - @#%! Great video, Jennifer!

Why is your chenille so stiff? I make theses ropes and they aren’t this stiff. Is it because of the size of your beads or number of beads round? I’m curious. I would like to have this stiffer option.

Suggestion - slow the speed down - it worked great for me. And go to a full screen.
