In this episode, I share with you my thoughts on this 2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR. One of only 300 vehicles ever imported into Australia, it is the fastest Golf GTI ever made. However, with a few tasteful modifications done to this car, that performance is pushed even further. Based on the Iconic Golf TCR Racecar, this limited edition model is the last and final offering for the 7th Generation Golf. Is it the best Golf GTI ever made?

I have a tcr here in Ireland and the European car makes 380nm standard. Revo software offer a stage 1 remap giving minimum 475nm on shitty 95 octane fuel we have here. Have been thinking about the remap but afraid it will struggle badly for traction in the dry never mind the wet!!

We purchased one of these in Australia in 2020. the driveaway price on some of these with the pan roof was from $58.000 not $51.000.i sold my Golf R to buy this and love it. but it needs a stage 1 tune.then it would be more fun to drive. like the Golf R .they feel a bit lazy in standard tune,

Been into a dealership. Price on road with Pan Roof $59,142. Sticker shock. Nice to look at but costly when they go wrong. As my fourth trip to repair bay this year hurts.

A shift stick would make the experience perfect, would be slower but more fun - not a DSG fan

When the power gets around 300bhp mark gets a bit too quick to enjoy it safely 😂. Had a manual mk 5 GTi with 350 and one hand on the wheel during shifts was a bit hairy to say the least lol

@@ClayWong interesting, also your cars got lower torque... you are missing out :D at first I thought that you just let it in the sport auto mode cause in that mode it wont shift to 7 (maybe if you drive at crazy speeds on German Autobahn). But now I know, thank you for the clarification.

Probably a bit quicker but front wheel drive cars struggle getting off the line. It's actually quicker than the r from 100-200km
