Fantastic video, just one thing reserve parachutes for the X-Type parachute where not around during the Second World War. The Parachute Regiment started wearing reserve chutes in 1955. I fined when painting figures with that sort of soft plastic it can be a little difficult to get the paint to stick, so have taken to useing a kitchen blow torch to gently go over the figure before painting. It might seem bizarre but seems to work. As a random aside My next-door neighbour was in the Parachute Regiment during mid to late 1970s and was involved in the filming of a Bridge Too Far. Apparently, the production company did not have the budget to insure parachutist, so they used the army instead.

I remember when they came out, bit of a disappointment. Not historically accurate and back then they were in polythene which is near impossible to glue (these days a lot of firms, such as HaT, use glueable soft plastic, also takes paint better). These days I buy them for use as ‘space marines’ for sci-fi sets I make up to give away. They can be modified using a hot knife blade to make up jeep crews. Nice job on the diorama though.

Thanks. I found that a quick lick of Hycote primer actually made the paint go on pretty well, but yes, they're not great.
