Great video! We run one of these scrapers for almost 10 years in our barn. Best tip we ever got, is to put 2 scraper blades behind each other, so you get a thicker rubber. This extends their live more than twice. Because the single will bend/flip back when it gets older. With 2 this doesn't happen.

Great video Eric! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the modifications for the barn, the robot setup, and use. Showing all the aspects of farming that you do is a great service to farming. Enjoyed the video. Well done!

It will be interesting if you notice a reduction in lameness and mastitis from the robots keeping the alley ways cleaner. And whether the cows, tails and legs are cleaner and maybe less flies in summer.

Have F&T locate the charger as far from the gate hinge as possible to allow adequate room for machine to “wall follow” straight into the charger. All wire and plumbing to and wiring run in conduit. Cows love chewing them!! And great job on the videos!

Be careful while welding galvanised steel. The Zinc coating on it burns off and the fumes are not good to breath in. Take Care!!
@jackking55672 жыл бұрын
A word of caution: Welding galvanised steel (zinc coated) is hazardous for you. The fumes can give you an illness similar to influenza - welders lung. If welding it, grind to remove the zinc where the weld is to be. Finally, spray with a zinc spray afterwards for good protection of the metal. That spray can be found at welding consumables suppliers. Great work though. Your welding is getting better. Gates are difficult to work on. Those small inverter welding units are awesome!

Always enjoy the videos. I think if those boards don't work out, you could make a little "snaggletooth" to clamp on the bots' sensor bar out of some u-bolts or something similar: if the sensor is too high, just make it lower. :>

Eric have you ever noticed how the milk ladies are always so interested in what you and your dad are doing to improve their homes? I have always liked cows. They are a lot smarter than most people realize. Y'alls herd is such a healthy looking bunch. You two are some of the hardest working men i have ever seen. You have to be to be a farmer. Especially if you have livestock.

Hey Eric, great video as always 👍🏼 I would like to give the advice to add a second board of rubber for the scraping, so that you won‘t have to have too much work for the maintenance of the robots. Greetings from Western Germany ✌🏼

Idea for the "removable boards" at the often used doors: put a piece of 2x4 on top of the screwed down one and the plank. Then just screw it down on the small piece. Thtat way it will stay put and you can slide it in and out basically.
