Cars are suppose to make you feel special. If the GTR doesn't make you feel that go for the R8 and put an exhaust for around $1,000 on it. You'll get the full supercar experience

Just remember, there is always going to be someone faster than you. So enjoy the car for it's esthetics & superb aura. If you can't ever indulge in those elements, I recommend you just lease cars.

I suggest either tuning it or sell it and buy someone else's work who has already tuned it to your liking less work and ultimately probably less expensive and you can never buy back time if it saves you a deal of time and is the same monetary value then I see it as a reason to choose it over another. Just food for though hope I could be of assistance

+supercar torque, yes mate it was the v10 w/s tropic. it was a brilliant car in it's own right. But always felt like something was missing and couldn't put my finger on it until I got the GTR. there is only so much you can do with the r8. And with the GTR, the possibility is endless as long as you've got the pocket for it. And doing things right, with the right specialist and never really devalues the car. I took my GTR straight to SVM and had the 850R conversion. full engine overall and gearbox, suspension, brakes and exhaust and have never looked back. the car is much better over stock and always puts a smile on my face. And that's big for me to say how many cars I've owned in search of the thrill and pure enjoyment that a car should give you. Everyone is different. But judging you in your videos, I see another of how I used to be and I believe you too wouldn't look back.

If you really want performance i guess a 600+hp GTR will be faster and better than the R8. On the other hand you can go with the R8 convertible if you also want to do a chilled cruise. But as your living in the UK, there will barely be any days where you can actually drive with the roof open, so i'd go with the V10 coupe haha. GTR also has kind of a legend image, where as the R8s seem to be everywhere. I see them quite often here in germany lol A tuned Nissan impresses me a lot more than a stock R8 really.

I've read most of your comment replies below and I came to conclusion that you just don't want that GT-R anymore. So go for the R8 ? You will lose a BIG part of your subscribers but you will do what you want to.Anyway my advice would be to tune the GT-R at some HKS or AMS tuner but reading your comments changed my mind.

I would go for Litchfield stage 4.25. Would leave the Armytrix system alone, a few people have reported problems with it. Regarding noise restrictions I would go for the Titan Street aswell. Already got the pops and bangs sorted with the Ecutek software 😉. Great vid again

Tuning this GTR is probably the way to go..id start with the Armitix exhaust just as everyone else have mentioned and a tune. That should bring Life back into the vehicle so you're not feeling so inadequate. Until the feeling returns then...I guess you would need to do a Part II of this segment and we will talk you out of selling the GTR and decide the next MoD..😜

Keep the GTR, the driving sensation won't be mirrored in an R8 and the GTR is fully worth it. In terms of tuning, go to Litchfield as they are GTR specialists. For an exhaust, choose Meistershaft

Please, do a ARMYTRIX exhaust! Of course it is up to you, but I am really excited about an ARMYTRIX exhaust. I don't know anything about tuning the car (only about switzer). Me personally,I would buy the R8 V10 plus coupe. StevenWillox Damn straight it is :p! Yeah it has the same engine as the Gallardo and I do think it will be more of an event to drive. Having said that, once the GTR has been tuned that will be much more enjoyable to drive then when it's stock. Decisions, decisions!

+Supercar Torque Haha! Yeah the GTR will open right up once tuned! I've only ever driven a standard GTR in the pre-facelift guise and it was quick but like you've said it's silent so didn't feel like you were driving something hard,and tuned it will be an animal but I think it couldn't be used to it's potential,and in my opinion tbe interior isn't of any real quality like an R8 so effectively you're driving a track car,at least the R8 is/would be a fast luxury sports car. That's my opinion anyway 😊

If I were in your position, and I had to choose between the GTR and R8 I'd go for the GTR purely because I'm not a fan of the R8. I'd go for the 4.25 tune with Litchfield and then go for an Armytrix valvetronic exhaust

Yeah, GTR lacks especially the feel of a super car. R8 does rev very high. The v10 sounds are totally awesome. But still I would reckon for u to go for the GTR tho..... No doubt the R8 design is much better than the Gtr.but, look at this in this way, the Gtr is much more reliable and the R8 is much slower than Gtr even when the gtr is stock. So, if u tune it, its a complete different story. I thought u love the Gtr crackles and pops at the exhaust? Thats what the Gtr is made to tune. I heard R8 gearbox comes up with a lot of problem

Hey I also own a GTR and have IPE exhaust on them and it sounds sick! Anyway, if you can afford an R8 v10 spyder which cost a lot more than the GTR then go for it. I have to admit that the R8 is more desirable car than the GTR in every department no question about that. However, if you are into tuning nothing is better than GTR, it such a great car to tune. and also very practical car. I probably keep my GTR forever and may be save up some money to buy another exotic super car like the R8 or Ferrari as alternate transport. Hey u never know when you gonna need a 1000hp monster, so Godzilla always have a place in my garage.

I'd take it SVM (Severn Valley Motorsport), they are the bees nees. and I'd go Armytrix exhaust if you intend on doing track days, but if not, SVM do in house full exhaust systems and they are brill. I myself moved from an r8 spider to a GTR and was the best move.

If you were to use the R8 as a daily then I would say it's worthwhile but otherwise I'd say to keep the GTR. There's far more you can do with a GTR in regards to mods (as I'm sure you know) as well as the huge car scene that comes with it - You can make fire with a GTR after all, not with an R8 ;)

tricky indeed as you said financially it would make more sense to sell it then again gtr for track days is a quite amazing machine the cornering on that beast is from another planet if though you do go for the r8 after all i think the ''plus'' model would be the way to go cause of the gearbox, it'd make a big difference on the way it feels, myself i wouldn't go for the convertible for many reasons 1st being the single clutch paying that amount of money when almost every other company gives you double clutch where the changes are incredibly smoother and faster i think it really doesn't worth it ,in my opinion r8 also doesn't feel as sporty as the rest of them in that same price gap it's just a bit of a ''blender'' when it comes to super-cars and i dont think is that great but at the end of the day its not me that's gonna be driving it so up to u that also is only my personal opinion so it may not be the case what i would advise you is to give a little bit of thought to what you really want your car to do and see what fits better the purpose. Apart from that i wanna say i really enjoy your videos and keep up the good work!!! :)

Adil Mustafa I do agree, the GTR has not been with the channel long enough, I am just cautious of taking the channel to a stage where my whole subscriber base is just here for the GTR as there will come a time when it is sold, whether it's in a months time or 2 years time. You should stick to tuning the GTR, but it's up to you of course. I've gone to the tracks a couple times and seen a GTR go 3.75 seconds easily. For the exhaust you should go with Armytriy romanatwood has a video on is KZbin channel! Up to you mate !

Well, I'm a big GTR fan but the depreciation is ridiculous so the R8 is probably the best financial choice. :)

Oh nice! I'd probably keep it then, it's just I met a guy who had a 911 GT3 and said he bought it after selling the GTR for depreciation reasons but I think his one was pre 2010 so you should be fine! :)

TheCarGuy18 You could argue that it depreciates in comparison to the GT3 as they increase in value rather than decrease haha but yeah they seem to be holding right now.
