What a beast of an engine !!! Man good job, i'm impressed. That was a very interesting video, i often watch rex from rw mods videos but he doesn't really show his work, most of the time he remains unclear about explanations, at least from my opinion. I have a couple of P5s and now that i've seen you doing this i feel like i can try doing the same, i'll have to start trying to get the sotck numbers like you did with the crankshaft, maybe more difficlut compared to the sleeve.

Thanks mr B 👍, it performed really good 👌. It's understandable that Rex doesn't show his secrets, the modifying company's make a living out of this!!!! He probably has nice cnc machinery. You are in France, don't know if there are any modifying company's. For the guys from the US who read this. Please keep sending out engines to the real experts. Support them!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing beats experience!!!!! You can try modifying if you like. Measer crank timing like i did three or four times and take the average. Then your not far of. You can do it! Enjoy trying and it's certainly very satisfying when you create a badass engine 💨💨💨🤘..... 👊

@@kings-racing Of course is understandable but very frustrating ^^ i think that if i succeed in modifing an engine i am going to be the only engine modifier in France 😆. What are the differences between the R5R and the Picco P3TT??? is the Reds still made by Picco?

@@TastyBRC yea, so we just figur it out ourselfs 😁. I don't know, France is a big country. The difference between the engines is the r5r has bypass ports, the Picco doesn't, but the Picco comes with a three needle carb and a ceramic bearing. There both really good. Performance wise i think i would chose the r5r, tough there isn't a huge difference. Best engine for the money, probably the Picco. It's a little cheaper and has a ceramic bearing. 🤔 I can't choose really😂 Rex told us that reds is made by picco. But reds says otherwise. At least for the newer engines. I don't know, but some things look pretty simular.

That thing RIPS. Performs like the old Picco P7-R/Jammin JPX.21. Screaming on the top end and very punchy on the bottom.

Yeah, Thanks man. Haven't got the old picco, but with this crank timing and blowdown the engine performs really good

@@kings-racing I have a Jammin JPX.21 that I rebuilt and the power delivery and top end sound very similar to your R5R. They are fairly similar engines internally. The timing numbers are probably different though. I’ll measure them sometime to see how they compare to the R5R

I hear some gears binding and making a loud noise it sounds like you’re rear diff isn’t shimmed properly

Gears aren't happy indeed, the bearings on the bevel drive are done. Same problem on the X Elite. I've been told that's a common problem on these kits.... Need to replace those bearings on a regular base......
