Colin i find your music perfect for reading! The way you build up the patterns and enrich the sounds makes every piece of yours unique. I always feel like I'm boarding a happy modular train and go to a journey, towards a sound I haven't heard yet. Keep up bro!!!

Very nice. Reminds me of Klaus Schulze past work when playing with a strings section.

How did we loop the cello and sync it with the rig? Is there a simple answer?
@Vosbureau7 жыл бұрын
I just matched the ableton clock with Colin's carcadian masterclock and timed the loops myself. Over time it would be out of sync, but the way i played it didnt matter much :p...But indeed with a midi -> CV module that would be solved as well :) Tried that out, works well!

the cello is a bit distorted...otherwise beautiful! who plays the cello?
@adamsmith44168 жыл бұрын
Intentional or not, brings a whole different vibe to the instrument.
@snoozehard7 жыл бұрын
It's Martin Vos, I believe. He does modular stuff as well btw.

As hype and licking will not help, I'll try to be more ...objective here. So, arp is good and stuff, but please try to change the sequence more often. This need is especially evident during 1st 17 or 22 minutes, but then it kinda improves. Also, when You order cello sample loop to repeat indef., please try to track just for how long it repeats - "enough is enough", then you morph it or take it off. Drum machine is lacking in places (yeah I know, but still). Stuff at about 32:20 and then 35:50 was real good, tho. Hope that maybe You'll try to use stretched cello sample as LFO, or just morph it more often. TIA and keep jammin' ;)
