Hey, Bitwig, make a tuner, please. I switched from ableton live and use a lot of analog synths, ableton's tuner was an essential little tool. Now i forced to use third party ugly tuners..Please make that simple tool.

On “Nesting FX within the Chain device” part. Would be fun to see flagship EQ+ in this example. The fact it’s latency can’t be automatically compensated drives me crazy, and makes this eq unusable. Funniest part of it that “this eq is CLICK free” i tested it with automations which switches its bands on/off and its CLICKS. I love bitwig, it’s my favorite daw, but this philosophy around EQ+ so dumb

It clicks because the amount of latency it introduces depends on how many active bands there are. Latency varies from 4 to 7 samples.

@@paulmichelon2176 I wrote in support and received answer. They say it’s not unexpected behavior, lack of delay compensation is a part of plan of “click free eq”. But eq+ clicks, and even if it wouldn’t, who cares about clicks more then phasing issues. So knowing Bitwig policy (just remind you when they changed license agreement about subscription), better to just forget existence of eq+, than expect them to hear their users and change annoying problem. (!)They can just add option “enable delay compensation” in inspector panel for this device. And all will happy(!)

Hi at 04:10, why there is no more options on the "Cue/Preview" Menu? I mean I might want to hear the "Cue Solo" on the Headphones and the rest on the Speakers. I thought that was the idea. I have the Headphones plugged to the Interface but they are not shown on the Menu. Thanks.

I never knew the green = poly and blue = mono before, but also, didn't really notice the difference in colours on screen either as they are very close. Might I suggest something more contrasting which could also help with those who are blue/green colour blind?

@@RasShango I guess there is no other way if you are to be playing live. But there’s many ways to skin a cat. Bitwig’s modulators can be assigned polyphonically, meaning that each note you play will be modulated individually. Otherwise if you are wanting to edit expressions for individual notes, there’s various ways to do this. Probably the most immediate way is via the Note Operators or editing expression (and many other) parameters in the automation lanes on each Channel. One can also assign a MIDI channel for any recorded individual note, you can then assign that note to change say any Device or Plugin parameters. Akin to Parameter Locking on Elektron machines, albeit not as immediate in workflow. Seek out a few tutorials. Lots of fun to be had!

I appreciate these conceptual sketches that you guys do on possible ways to make and shape sounds in Btiwig. But maybe though we could have for a change an example of BitWig making sounds that actually sound GOOD, like a really great hardware synthesizer, lol, instead of something that sounds so unpleasantly 'fake' and without 'soul' that you wouldn't even torture elevator users with it. I'm frankly beginning to doubt whether Bitwig is capable of making complex pleasant emotive synthesized sounds good enough to front a hit record, ANY kind of hit record. It's a great DAW recording and audio compiling environment, but I'm yet to hear actually anything really great made in its sound sculpting tools, despite their intellectually interesting functionality and complexity, nothing I've heard in hours of KZbin demos sounds really good. The closest I've seen to good sounds in Bitwig is some acid dance music I've heard created in it, but even then to make it sound good, the artists needed to use other sound sources.

I guess it is up to us to make "good" synth sounds, in this videos they only show us some the capabilities of the software. There are plenty of tutorials to design any kind of sound you would like to.

Not true: you can't make "any sound you want to", that was my point. They all sound a little like a cheap vintage Casio, without the aliasing. (I haven't used the beta of 5.1, but the new sound creation and modulation options look exciting, and are a really great development. Still needs more "randomization" modulations tools, and resonance/harmony tools, along with sound sources based on modeling to name a few, but things seem to be heading in the right direction at least...) When it comes down to it, in any professional sound creation tool, all the fancy functionality in the world is junk if it doesn't sound really GREAT, that is the whole point. And frankly, while I find these demos interesting, I've never come away from one of them hearing something that sounded REALLY GREAT.

@@pixelwash9707 I see your point, but if you go through any tutorial on any topic really (Photoshop, DJing, photography, 3D rendering, DAWs) out there, people making them are not the great artists. They are content creators, not your favorite sound designer/artist who probably has no time to create these videos. Bitwig being a DAW, it's really about the tools that allow you, the potential artist, to create your sounds and music. If you wanna add your favorite VST, hardware synth or recorded material to add that extra breath of life, you're free to do so.
