The thing your modular and OP-1 videos have in common is when I hit play, I have no way to anticipate what sounds are going to come out. And on top of that, you’ll somehow make it make sense? It’s good. Thank you so much

Jeremy, this is truly beautiful beautiful stuff. As someone who’s finally delving into modular after years of being intimidated, I’m so inspired by how easily and plainly you explain patch-making. Might I encourage you to pair a Morphagene with your Clouds? ...I mean working with what you have is the much wiser thing to do, but the pair does play together beautifully >.>'' Throw in a Mimeophon too!
@zacklur4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree on how musical this demo is--so good! Interesting idea--do you think you can get much of the Morphagene functionality by combining a Clouds with a Sampler module (I have the ALM Squid)? Seeing a Morphagene demo (also great, but not like this) back when they came out is what pushed me over the edge to make the leap into Eurorack. It was one of the first modules I got, but don't think I was ready at the time and had to let it go as I didn't have room in the 6u rack for both the M and Clouds (which was a bit more accessible).

Morphagene is one of my favorite modules. I lost this past weekend revisiting some reels I’d had saved away. Todd Barton has two incredible reels, one with his shakuhachi music that sounds so good manipulated and reversed. The other is music from the kesh reel, that has some lovely vocal and pads that are so rad to just switch around with the organize control. Great video! Always game for more morphagene stuff lol

Very cool! I love to see different folks' approaches to Morphagene; it's an incredibly flexible module, so coming to it in different ways always results in wildly different results and things to learn! You should know: there's a firmware update that adds a handful of new options, for doing things like pitching your samples with v/oct, manual control over levelling, defining the exact range of pitch shifts that occur when Morph is turned way up, improved signal to noise ratio, CV-able phase modulation, and a bunch of other things. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Awesome video Jeremy! loved the sounds! The morphagene was one of my first modules which i paired with a 0 coast and behringer neutron for some modulation. Even with a limited setup i spent months exploring new territories. I have since built out to 204 HP and am constantly suprised with what i can do with it. I can build similar concepts in VCV rack and bitwig studio these are not as fun and performative and honestly quite time wasting over the simple morhagene's interface. Cheers!
