@OoraMusic - I normally watch the entire video before I make any comment, but I had to pause it to make this. What a healthy approach to haters. I was there, and saw it go down. I will tell you straight out - your best stuff is when you talk about THE CRAFT of making music. All gear will come and go - finding your voice is the challenge of a musician. I don't care what setup or what gear you are using. Talk about art. This video is awesome and I'm not even all the way through it.

I think there are several eurorack modules with photoresistors, so you can literally use sunlight as modulation source. Not sure how practical it would be, but just as a fun experiment.

Very curious fur Push 3 future plan and the interaction with the modular via expert sleepers adat converters. I have recently used the same type of setup (push 3 standalone with modular and external synths) and the result was that I passed to Bitwig after a long time with Ableton/push.

ahahha unexpected plot twist! No doubts Bitwig is amazing on modulations. My plan is more to create something that will facilitate my live shows. Let's see!

@@OoraMusic a real shame that Per4mer does not have a good MIDI implementation - with it one could control everything (VCO, VCF, EG, VCA) over something like VCMC. As you say - we wait for MkII!

I reckon if you are using Basimilus Iteritas Alter not that much, but love it when you do, then you might get more out of the Basimilus Iteritas Alia. Because I could imagine you getting plenty of use out of the other firmware, Manis Iteritas Alia, in particular, as a lead voice. And there's other firmware like Debel, Cursus, Ataraxic and Incus. And that could give you the different flavours you mentioned, but all from the same module. Though Piston Honda, and Synthesis Tech. e352 Cloud Terrarium are both amazing too; though physically big ... and expensive. Cloud mode on Cloud Terrarium is special sounding, DivKid's videos give a good idea of it's voice.
@OoraMusic10 ай бұрын
they are both on my radar... also alia seems like a great idea!

@@OoraMusic yes, think it's a great way of making a small eurorack very flexible. Especially if you are doing minimal music and would mainly have use for one voice Zoia euroburo too is a swiss army knife, or Lego set

You can built exactly what you want with a modular ... but you'll never get the same sound ever again since it doesn't have presets. And it will cost you your right arm and your firstborn. Some young guy at Superbooth last year looked lovingly at a wall of gear at Erica Synths and I told him "You will have to give up your girlfriend then. You can't afford both". His GF didn't like that 😂

ahahahah. it might be true , but take for example an artist like Caterina Barbieri. She is using the same system since ages. The hard part is contain yourself and not going on a buy spree. Which, yes, is really really hard :D
