An instrument that allows transmission that not only supplies inverse reactive current for use in unilateral phase detractors, but is also capable of automatically synchronizing cardinal grammeters. Basically, the only new principle involved is that instead of power being generated by the relative motions of conductors and fluxes, it is produced by the modial interaction of magnetoreluctance and capacitive directance. The original machine had a baseplate of prefabulated Amulite, surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the pentametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzel vanes so-fitted to the ambifacient lunar wane shaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented. The main winding was of the normal lotus-o-delta type placed in panendermic semi-boloid slots in the stator, every seventh conductor being connected by a nonreversible trem'e pipe to the differential girdlespring on the up-end of the grammeters

I passed my mod 2 last Monday 25th July, 2nd attempt because the lady examiner was in a car first time and was in rush so I made a mistake on the roundabout. 2nd time I had decent examiner who followed on bike went a couple of roundabouts and got lost a few times things went smoothly with two minors missing a blind spot check and not leaving a big enough gap during slow traffic. Anyways i'm happy that it's over was a great experience, freedom finally begins and can't wait to pick my MT07 next Saturday.

Nice one matey and nicely done on the pass. Did my Mod1 at Wakefield yesterday so now looking at what the weather is going to do before booking the Mod2 out of Wakefield also. I'm always a bit surprised when we're asked why we didnt ride at the full speed limit. Just because the speed limit is 60mph on a narrow 2 lane country road that doesnt mean we should be riding at that speed. Agree with you on this if you don't know the road better to air on the side of caution. I thought it was a nice safe ride actually ;-) Pete

Thanks for this. Quick question: can the examiner hear you through the mic or can you only hear him? Also, would you get marked down for stopping at every junction even if there were no cars? Not that I would do that necessarily, just wondering what the official line is.
@surferchappi33 жыл бұрын
Glad it has served a purpose :) No, the headset is purely an earpiece, no mic, the examiner cannot hear you (or that was the setup when I took the test anyway). Stop when the road and/or conditions tell you to; solid line at junction such as a give way, stop, traffic maybe coming or visibility obscured at an otherwise flow-through junction, stop. Basically just show the examiner you are safe and can read the conditions ahead and understand and adhere to road markings/signs and you're good. Ride safe mate.

It's a closed road to the right so the examiner says not to - it's a closed road (or at least developing) to the left too but they tell you to swing a look down that one. Go figure i suppose. The slight flick i did to the right was just habit i think.

1:17 Did you indicate to turn when it was only the examiner behind you, or do you just imagine the examier isn't there?
@surferchappi37 жыл бұрын
A_Wise_Young_Man highway code answers this one mate - joining a new carriageway stipulates the intention to change direction must be indicated. If you were on a dual carriageway and wanted to change lanes with no other vehicles in sight, no indication is necessary as there's no one there to inform of your intention. If you were leaving the dual carriageway then indication is necessary as you are then changing direction; at 1:17 I am changing direction from one carriageway to another.
@a_wise_young_man7527 жыл бұрын
I know that but what I mean is, on your test, are you supposed to pretend the examiner isn't there or do you consider him another road user?

any tips for nerves feel like I'm gonna fail or fall off the bike lol
@surferchappi38 жыл бұрын
Ha, I dropped my bike turned up to mod 1 in the car park, first time for everything eh. Completely due to nerves. When you go for a ride you don't get nervous, when you go for a ride with your instructor telling you left or right or pull up you don't get nervous - it's the exact same thing when you do your mod 2. The examiner is just another rider like your instructor, he wants more bikes on the road to keep the whole thing going, he wants to pass you and just needs to see you ride safely and without crashing, you already showed you can handle the bike in mod 1 so just rinse repeat for 30-40 minutes without royally fucking up and you'll be fine! Good luck.

Hi mate I know it's been a while since you done this but can you remember how clear the radio was? Were the instructions clear enough? Did the examiner say it twice? Doing mine in 2 weeks and I'm a bit worried as the one I've used in my training wasn't very clear, don't wanna be going in a different direction on test lol. Thanks
@surferchappi35 жыл бұрын
Now then, don't worry about the radio, it is the examiners kit and will be (by the sounds of it) a marked improvement on the one you are using with your instructor. Regarding directions and going the wrong way, if you manage to take the wrong road it really does not matter, what matters is you handling the situation in a manner that is according to the law and that you look like a competent rider. Your examiner will say "if like you to now take your next (X) turning" and you will do that safely, no miners for going the wrong way whatsoever, just handle the next instruction well and it's like it never even happened. This does come with 1 warning though, whatever you do don't go onto a motorway, if you are approaching one then safely pull over before you enter it - the reason is that you are unlicensed to use the motorway (even during your test) until you have passed. Best of luck mate, chill and all will be groovy :)

Hi Paul, I failed my Mod 2 only on lack of speed. I was doing 50 in a 60 zone and 55 in a 70 dual carrageway. Would be interested to know how you got 2 minors in your speed.
@surferchappi37 жыл бұрын
lavabuild hey, I think it may boil down to the examiner, maybe he blamed speed as he felt something else was off with your riding, or maybe he was just that picky. I went slow for most of mine but on dual carriageways I was at 70 all the time. My main slow part was the bendy country road, a 60 but I didn't know the road so kept to around 50.
@dale-fi1fi6 жыл бұрын
Id its a country road an national speed limit u dont have to 60 id say just dont drop below 45 an if he says anything just say u didnt know the roads an was being caoutious an to be foir countey roads are not well mantained! But 55mph ina 70mph zone i think thats where he failed u as wagons are limites to 56mph an they will be over taking you but chin up just try again

@TheCarlbrian8 жыл бұрын
hey, great, useful vid. I have my Mod2 tomorrow at Wakey. One thing, you say the assessor asks you to ride around for 10 mins. How do you know where you are going if you don't really know the roads there. I know them vaguely but if concerned i will end at some random area in Morley!
@surferchappi38 жыл бұрын
Cheers Carl, hope your test has gone or goes well! Missed this message so sorry for the late reply. When they ask you to ride independently for a while they tell you to head in the direction of 'blah' or follow signs for 'blah' (avoiding motorways of course). It's easy enough and if you go wrong it doesn't matter, this isn't a map test it's a riding test so if you go wrong just ride normally on the wrong road and take the appropriate action when it is safe to do so to get back onto the right road, tbh the examiner will likely say where to go if you go wrong so just follow directions until he says it's up to you again :)
@TheCarlbrian8 жыл бұрын
Cheers, I ended u failing due to missing the big stop sign at one of the junctions . I was in the mode of being told all the time to be progressive and not hesitant at junctions, there were two cars parked at the side of the road and drivers got in, i was looking at what they were doing as they looked like they were going to pull out, they didn't so i went round them, got to junction, glanced right, nowt coming so set off whilst rolling. Steve W good spot! I did forget and it cost me a minor, had I left it on just a second or two longer it would have been a major and therefore a fail.
