Module to Fold/Unfold Mirrors on Locking And Unlocking Modifying the Polo GT!

In this video ive added an aftermarket module to my car, in order to make it fold or unfold its ORVMs on locking or unlocking.

Is it possible to do the same on the first gen cars which didn't come with folding mirrors? Could we replace the folding motor from a newer gen mirror and do this retrofit? I really want to keep the originality the car came with and fiddle with some new and useful features.

The updated window regulator motor with which this can be achieved is hard to source in India, it needs to be imported, if it was any easier I would have gone with that route

Mirror adjustment works as I said in the video, but they don’t fold with the knob now, there has to be a solution which I’ll find.
