Comment for Modulus. Why design in a string tree? You're not trying to save wood, CF is not going to suffer neck breaks if you angle the headstock (or make the tuners stagger backwards to get pressure on the nut) and, at the prices these will sell at, a slightly deeper case is not going to make a big difference in price. And get the strings to pull through the nut straight. I'll be buying a bass soon - for the money I'm spending (ie lots) details, like I mentioned, can be the difference between a sale/no sale. Getting a detail, such as the strings sitting straight in the nut, inspires confidence that the product is well considered. And if you're making a whole bass, rather than just replacement necks, why not make it neck through? It's not as if sourcing a much longer piece of decent wood is a problem, or consideration of a broken neck. A neck joint is something that adds complexity and bulk, which we put up with for cheapness and replaceability. Why would you ever want to replace a CF neck?

If they were smart they would have started these at $2500 (which is still expensive) they would do Great sales, but over $4000...Unbelievable...Might just wait for older used ones from $1800-$2400
