I was born in California. I got dragged across country at 15 to Ohio. The first time I heard this song was in 1980 by a girlfriend. I instantly fell in love with it. I fell in love with being away from California, too. Even if I was given a billion dollars, the only reason I would go back would or will go back would be for a family funeral. This song reminds me why I stay here in the Midwest. There are towns all around Ohio and Indiana and other states also, that are America personified. Thank You to all of my fellow Americans who have lived and worked and given, and spent your lives living and loving our country. I love you all, Everyone.

Remember going out to California when I was a boy on route 66 going through all them little towns. The big highways are nice for getting there fast but you miss the good parts of the country. Seen Moe in Branson he has a great show.
